KOSTOL SVÄTÉHO MICHALA SALZBURG Kostol Svätého Michala na námestí Residenzplatz v Salzburgu je najstarším farským kostolom v Salzburgu. Má zaujímavú históriu siahajúcu do obdobia 8. až 9. storočia a až do 12. storočia kostol slúžil veriacim ako „dvojitý kostol“, kde horná časť bola vyhradená pre cisára a dolná časť kostola bola určená pre bohoslužby obyvateľom mesta a okolia. Po rozsiahlej prestavbe kostola v 18. storočí bol kostol upravený s dominanciou hlavnej lode a súčasne stavebne zakomponovaný do okolitej zástavby tak, že je voľne viditeľná len východná strana kostola s hlavným vstupným portálom a vchodom do sakristie. Interiér kostola je v barokovom štýle, s dominanciouu hlavného oltára, na ktorom je obraz Archanjela Michala porážajúceho Lucifera. V cirkevnom nastavení je kostol miestom filiálnej cirkvi a zasvätený Archanjelovi Michalovi. Kostol má veľmi bohato zdobený interiér v štýle barokovej elegancie s výrazovou ezoterickou atmosférou.
