We stayed in Cesky Krumlov for 2 nights in August 2011, the weather was perfect. The house itself is newly renowated, the rooms are decorated with stylish retro wooden furniture. The house from the 17th century was a home of town executioner, which was famous for his kindness. We stayed in a triple room, it had a lovely view on the castle and the river, the bathroom was next door, shared with another double room only so it was not a problem for us. The location of the bed and breakfast was perfect, in a walking distance to everything, 5 minutes from the castle and from the main square. We really loved this accomodation. The breakfast was included, served in Deli 99 cafe about 2 minutes from the BB (variety of sandwiches, cereals, pastry, nice cofee and hot chocolade - you chose from a menu). Highly recommended! Cesky Krumlov is one of the cutest towns in I have ever been and staying in such a nice bed and breakfast made our stay...
Read moreWhen we arrived, there was a problem with parking - nearby there is a parking place, but for e.g. 700 CZK/day. Location of the pension is good - quite near the centre, but we were unpleasantly surprised, that our room had a shared bathroom (included wc) and no TV, of which we were not informed in advance. Wifi connection was working only in the garden, not in rooms.||||We were in the first floor and we heard each move of every person in the hotel, the wooden floors are stylish, but super noisy and also the doors.||||The bed is not suitable for people over 170cm! :-)||||review: NOT WORTH FOR THE MONEY SPENT FOR ACCOMODATION!!! WE WERE DISAPPOINTED (and sometimes angry, when we could´t get to the shared toilet!!! :-) ). For 2880 CZK/night you...
Read moreLooking for a noisy, overpriced room with shared bathroom with no hot water after 10 pm and with a window facing the ground? Domek Kata Mateje is the right place for you then. Although promised a totally different room, we ended up in a stinky, moldy room in the neighbourhood of two main streets and a bridge with passing cars. The noice of flashing toilet or every movement of neighbours at night is unbearable and makes it almost impossible to sleep or relax. I have to admit that the rooms are furnished in a very stylish way - the wooden fittings must have cost a fortune, the house should have been used as a musem, not a place to accomodate tourists though. an...
