Hotel Latrán — Hotel in okres Český Krumlov

The hotel is clean and comfortable and certainly in step with the historical charm that draws people to Cesky Krumlov. The 3 star rating has more to do with the service and the bathroom. Our room was at the very top so a slanted ceiling like you'd find in an attic. The room was quite large and so this wasn't an issue except in the bathroom. A lovely renovated bathroom but due to the slanted roof, it was impossible to have a shower. You couldn't stand up in the tub. ||We managed to carry our suitcases up the several steep staircases to our room (no assistance was offered and no elevator) and when we decided we didn't want to carry them back down after our 3 night stay, we were told it would cost us per case. Really!! Front desk staff never raised their heads when we left the hotel or came back. They haven't figured out that a simple greeting goes a long way to feeling welcomed.||Our room was air conditioned which was appreciated and we heard that the 2 attic rooms were the only ones air conditioned so you might want to...

I've checked in at the room I have booked ( I have noticed in moment when I entered that was not really clean. ) but after half an hour I have found something very disturbing so I have asked at reception to change my room. The receptionist reaction was very fast and I got upgraded room-apartment on upper floor. This room seemed more clean and definetly was bigger. So I went for a shower and in moment when I got my towel I saw its ripped off totally. On my sheet was a small ripped hole and also someone hair. In night I was woken up by the Ac because water was dripping and flowing from him to the hanger and next on the wooden floor. To be honest it was bad experience for me and definitely this can't be a 4 star hotel as it's promoted. For the pricec that they offer quality should be better. No parking. Location is very good. But, our room was missing basic features from its description. No way to make a coffee / tea (not even a hot water). No clothes iron. The upper floors are indeed accessible using elevator, BUT there are additional sets of stairs to get to the room itself. Good luck if you have a heavy stroller or a wheelchair. The WiFi had a poor reception, was flaky and in the end didn't really work. The room did not have any welcome notes, no list of optional services, and I assume there simply is NO additional room service.

Also, we asked for a child bed, the request was confirmed by the hotel, but there was none in our room (of course we realised this in the evening after the reception closing hours).
