Solid food at people’s prices. Not a tourist trap! This where locals eat and has modest prices. All your Czech favorites are done well here, along with things like hamburgers for those who eschew Czech food. Compared to the main, tourist area? Cheap! I had the Duck one night and the Roast Pork Neck (really a steak) the next. Then, I came back to just sit at the bar and drink red wine. Perfectly friendly to foreigners, casual, hearty and memorable. A short walk from the square and well worth it. Plenty of beer on tap, the red wine isn’t bad either. Yes, they take credit cards, but I paid cash as my meals and beverages never exceeded 250 cz You can thank me later.

The weather was perfect, but we were not able to eat outside. The waitress said all tables are reserved now(around 17:30 on Thursday). We don’t know if it was true or not. We saw at least two tables which were not yet reserved… We ordered beer, salmon and beef cheeks. Beef and its sauce were not tasty - almost no taste of beef or something bad. I was not able to finish the meal without salt and pepper… In the restaurant, it was dark and a little hot. Worse, flies were flying although it was a perfect weather outside.

Skvělá restaurace v Českém Krumlově. Byli jsme zde se ženou na prodloužený víkend a vždy jsme šli do centra města aby jsme se najedli nejen že centrum je neskutečně moc předražené a i jidlo je nic moc.. . Jednoho dne jsem se zeptal majitele penzionu kde se tady da dobře a kvalitně najíst doporučili mi tuto restauraci. Nejdřív jsem si říkal restaurace u parkoviště to zase bude.. Restaurace je ve velmi přijatelné cenové relacii za sebe a přítelkyni jsme utratili 414,-kč + spropitne servirce ktere činilo 50,-Kč . Restaurace přes svojí polohu je velmi klidná a má vnitřní a venkovní posezení my jsme seděli venku pod stanem po tom co jsme se usadili přiběhla neskutečně příjemná slečna servírka, která předala jídelní lístek. Jídelní lístek nebyl nikterak obsáhlý ale to je jedině dobře o to rychleji jsme měli vybráno, objednali jsme si ledovy čaj a kofolu( točenou) zároveň s tim i česnečku. Přítelkyně si dala smažený sýr s hranolky a ja si dal koprovou omáčku s knedlíkem a hovězím masem. Po objednání do 5 minut bylo na stole jak pití tak i polévka. A než jsem stihl dojist tu opravdu vynikajici polévku bylo na stole i hlavni jídlo. Musim říct že takto chutnou koprovou omáčkou jsem dlouho neměl. Přítelkyně byla fascinovana domácí tatarkou a výborným zelnym salátem. Klobouk dolu před restauraci. Pochvala personalu a děkujeme za krásný gastro-zažitek. 😊 P. s. nefotil jsem všechno objednané přece jen jsme měli hlad. Pokud opravdu chce dobré jídlo běžte se o tom přesvědčit samy 😊 oproti centru jen je dobre mít rezervaci a hlavně

We like to use the large city parking lot surrounding this restaurant to go to the castle and the city center. This time, after visiting Cesky Krumlov, we decided to have some coffees and desserts at Jelenka. I have chosen hot raspberries with ice cream and whipped cream and an iced coffee, the total for such a small portion and mediocre presentation was 200 Kč, very high for what I got. Everyone else in my family was equally disappointed with the presentation and high price. I do not recommend.

Lovely restaurant, and the most crisp, English speaking Czech lady in the country (although didn’t grab her name). Her pronunciation was better than most English people! The dark beer, steak and stuffed potato were excellent, with everything cooked perfectly. My partner has a dairy intolerance and this wasn’t a problem. Her salmon and mixed veg were also spot on, as was the mulled wine. Would eat there again should we be lucky enough to revisit this charming area. 10/10.
