Read it all: Located in a historic part of town, it has all the basic functions of a hostel (not the Ritz, of course, no one would expect that).
However, there are fundamental problems: The staff, if available at all, are unhelpful, no one speaks a reasonable level of English, you can't find anyone at reception, you usually have to "drag" contacts out of the restaurant. They also want to rip you off. No invoice, no official registration, recreation tax charged for children, etc. The facilities are very poor. We could not eat at the same time (one adult with two children) because there was no spoon for example. I asked, they promised the next day, we have been waiting ever since. No toilet paper for 3 days. There is dirt. The walls of the rooms are salty, we got chalky every time we touched the wall. We stayed 6 days in the hostel, in that time the bins were not emptied once, no washing up in the common areas, no change of wipes. There is a pile of linen and towels left by previous guests that have been pulled down and not taken away. The door is regularly left open, anyone could come in and use the toilet and steal from the kitchen fridge...
So apart from the layout and the spirit of the place, there is not much...

軟體: 我有史以來有過最差的Check in經驗。那位金髮,身高170,身材微胖的男性櫃檯人員,完全沒有服務精神。我們已經千辛萬苦抵達hostel,禮貌性詢問房間所在位置。他微笑的教導我們訂房請自行看清楚房間所在位置並且抱怨很多人都不看清楚來了之後才不悅房間位置不理想。我只是一個問題卻必須聽他訓話,我與同伴正在討論行李如何處置,他卻忙著告訴我們歡迎取消訂房,只是第一晚還是會被收費。完全沒有想協助我們解決問題!
這裡訂房只收現金,我們放下行李便前往換錢。因為他教導我們看清楚訂房規則,所以我看了,上面寫著櫃檯是21:00前關門,因此我們決定前往用餐平復心情再回去完成手續。 但沒有太久卻受到他的信,命令我們立即回去辦理住宿手續。是命令! 我從餐廳返回辦理手續,他卻不斷碎念問我是否不知道立即返回是什麼意思?我很納悶,那住宿規定寫21:00前櫃檯才關閉是什麼意思?他不願正面回應,後來才說在淡季或客人少的時候,老闆會讓他們先下班回家。Ok 到這我已明白,想提早下班的員工,如果是這樣我無意刁難,但你不斷強調住宿規定的重要性,那就請你把住宿規定寫清楚,並且態度良好,大家可以互相體諒。
最後因為和這位先生討論的並不愉快,他把我請出櫃檯與此同時我已付帳。我請他把鑰匙給我,卻被揶揄現在需要他的幫忙了?我很傻眼!他不斷說他們是hostel不要把這裡當hotel,我理解,我住過hostel也不會強求過多的服務。但我認為hostel最珍貴的地方在於人與人之間更真誠和友好,希望他不要污名hostel的美好,也希望99 hostel的老闆可以看到這篇並且重新認識自己的員工。
我們是來住宿、來欣賞這個美麗的小鎮而不是來被教訓的。
Hardware: We are on second floor, but can even heard the sound from first floor. Bathroom: the light will turn off like every 5 minutes and water shut off every 30 sec. Very inconvenient. The drain was not smooth. The stairs are steep and older people should pay attention. There is no socket on the bed, you must unplug the bedside lamp to use. Using Wifi on the second floor is very weak.
software: I have had the worst Check in experience ever. The blonde guy staff, has no service spirit at all. We have been hard to reach the hostel and politely ask where our room is. He didn't reply us at the first time but taught us that when everyone make a reservation, should look at the information of the room and complained that many people don't see it clearly. I am only asking a normal question without any mood but I have to listen to him. My partner and I were discussing how to handle our baggage. At the same time, he just tried to tell that is doesn't matter if we wanted to cancel reservation, but it would still be charged the first night. He didn't want to help us solve any problem at all!
Here only accepts cash, we put down the luggage and went to exchange money. Because he taught us to see the rules of the information, I saw that the reception closed before 21:00, so we decided to have meal to calm down and then went back to complete the process. But we got his email after an hour, he command us to go back immediately to complete the process.yes, It is an order!
I returned hostel from restaurant and I tried not to talk too much to him. but he kept asking me if I didn't know what it meant to return immediately. I am very puzzled, because that the information of here said reception closed before 21:00? Later, he said that in the off-season or when there were few guests, the boss would let them go home from work early. Ok I have already understood that employees who want to get off work early, if this is the case, I have no intention of martyrdom, but you constantly emphasize the importance of accommodation regulations, then please write clearly the accommodation regulations, and try not be so rude, then we can help each other easily.
Finally, because of the unhappy discussion with this gentleman, he took me out of the reception room. I asked him to give me the key, but he just launched and said that : so , now you need my help?
He keeps saying that they are hostel but hotel. I understand that I have never expect too much services when I stay hostel. But I think the most precious part of the hostel is that more sincere and friendly. I hope he doesn't stigmaize the beauty of the hostel. I also hope that the owners of 99 hostel can see this and re-recognize...

Only a few minor issues. The first being that our radiator was broken and we were frozen all night. I couldn’t close the window completely flush so there was a draft & we had to sleep in thermals.
I would highly recommend a small mirror in each room, as it would be great to be able to get partially dressed in your own space (not the communal bathroom). There is also no where to hang your coat / umbrella, if it has been raining. There is plenty of wall space for both of these and it’s a very small thing that’ll make the rooms much more comfortable.
I don’t know if I was just unlucky but everytime I needed the reception it was closed. I understand that the staff need to be elsewhere for maintenance but maybe there needs to be more cover? Checkout time was 10am, we were asked to strip our bed and take it to reception which was closed. We were then left in an awkward position of having to leave the main door (to the reception) unlocked as we had to give back our key. A service is offered to leave your bags but we had to take ours around the town for about two hours and come back a bit later when the reception staff...
