After arriving, we have waited like 15 minutes for someone to approach us, waiter that came looked totally suprised and refusing when we ask that we want nachos and quesadilla with lesser cheese, because of lactose intolerance, so as you image we were afraid of what we get.
The food came suprisingly quickly, cheese came separately in a bowl, so it was not quite what we wanted but still better than double cheese portion inside. Food was ok, we had chicken nachos and quesadilla, the meat was definitely not from chicken breast which is standard in Czech Republic, but the kind of meat you use in soups, so we were a little disappointed with quality.
We hit tip of the iceberg when we ordered dessert, churros, for which we waited 40 minutes, we ordered of course with the same waiter and we mentioned it him again, and after 20 minutes another waitress approached us if everything was ok, we explained our situation, after that she completely avoided us, after another 20 the waiter came if we want something more, we told him we are waiting 40 minutes for dessert and he said nothing so we asked for bill and left.
Worst experience, mainly because of the service.

Read moreAfter wandering the charming (but let’s be real—kind of maze-like) streets of Český Krumlov’s old town, we felt like switching it up. So we took a short uphill walk to Restaurace 99—and yep, it’s a bit of a climb, but totally worth it. Once you get there, the view is chef’s kiss: rooftops, the river, and that golden hillside glow.
The vibe? Chill and sunny, like an Italian terrace, but surprise—it’s all-American BBQ. We went for the wings and a burger, and wow. The wings were crispy with just the right amount of heat, and the burger was juicy, flavorful, and stacked tall—exactly what we were craving after exploring the castle.
The outdoor seating is super laid-back with string lights and a view that makes you want to stay forever. Plus, since this is Czechia, the craft beer game is strong, and the staff were super friendly and easygoing. It just had that relaxed, good-energy feel you want in a lunch spot.
We paid 1,050 Kč (about €42.50) for two, which felt totally fair for the quality and experience. Honestly, if you’re up for a bit of a stroll, this place is 100% worth it. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Read moreA very small and easy to miss place in Český Krumlov, but definitely worth your attention! The menu is short but it is very tasty and is very diverse (including vegetarian and vegan options), the prices are very great considering that Český Krumlov is a tourist destination.
The portions are well sized, and the staff speaks good English, and are very friendly.
My personal food experience was a Cheddar Cheese Bacon Cheeseburger, with fries. The burger was medium rare, juicy and tasty. The french fries where...
