Reformation Pilates — Local services in Paris

I was coming to Paris only for 3 days but didn’t want to jeopardise my newly established Reformer Pilates routine back at home, so I booked 2 introductory classes with Reformation. Needless to say, spending my two mornings in Paris training here was one of the best decisions of 2024. Firstly, the place itself is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I am generally very sensitive to environment(s), but Reformation Pilates Palais Royal branch exceeded all my expectations: there is so much light and air, I didn’t want to leave the place after the session. I got also very lucky that I booked a class with Tasha Clavel: she is an amazingly great teacher, you just feel that she certainly knows what she does and, boy, does she do it well! Although my class was almost full, somehow Tasha managed to give attention to each and every one of us, correcting our postures and insuring we do everything well to achieve the best results. Amongst the students there was one person present who apparently did not really speak French, but Tasha translated certain instructions into English especially for the student, which I think was really great. By far the best studio in Paris! I have been doing pilates for a couple of years and previously lived in London and recently moved to Paris. I have tried a range of studios in Paris and Reformation continues to be my favorite. The range of classes (at different levels and in both English and French) are great. I've been to a few french classes as I'm learning, all the instructors so far have been able to provide English when I haven't understood and are always welcoming. This is the only studio that seems to offer different levels, languges, morning and evening classes and if you buy the packs the price is by far the best I can...

I had a truly disappointing experience at this Pilates studio. I arrived for a 9:30 class, and even though it was only 9:31, the instructor refused to let me in. This is unacceptable, especially for a class I paid for in advance. To make things worse, there was no one at the reception to assist me or give further instructions, leaving me completely stranded. I can understand starting on time, but this lack of flexibility and basic customer service is beyond frustrating.
