I had a really amazing day exploring Paris and Versailles…all from within a sidecar! Simon of Txango Tours was super friendly, funny, easy going and incredibly knowledgeable of French history! We met up early morning for a quick coffee while he showed me the motorcycle and explained how our day would roll out…
We first headed out of Paris to Versailles. The sidecar itself was quite comfortable and spacious! I’m tall and long-legged, but I was comfortable the whole day! It was fun to see Paris in plein air while Simon navigated the streets carefully and confidently. As we got into Versailles, we stopped at a really beautiful vintage boulangerie for some sandwiches for later.
As we approached the chateau, it was breathtaking to be able to see the palace with an unobstructed view from my sidecar. We stopped for some photos as he gave me history of the château and gardens. We then enjoyed a picnic lunch along the canal, where I learned more about Versailles and we had some good laughs. So fun!!
After lunch we stopped at the Trianon and the oh-so-beautiful Temple of Love!
Simon was probably one of the friendliest tour guides I’ve ever had. He’s relatable and genuinely friendly and interested in getting to know his clients. He sprinkles in humor and fun anecdotes among interesting French history. We then cruised back to Paris and saw the Eiffel Tower, Pont Alexandre III, and several other monuments.
I would absolutely take another Txango Tour in the future, and have already recommended it to my friends!! Thank you...
Read moreMy family of 5 booked the Paris Monuments Sidecar tour for our first morning in Paris. Meeting spot was easy to find and we were able to choose helmets and prep for the ride quickly. Simon led our group and we had two other drivers, Jean and Batiste. (I am guessing on spellings.) Simon was an excellent guide, who kept us engaged while sharing the pertinent French history of each site. He was always willing to participate in adjacent thoughtful conversation. All three men were safe drivers who navigated the streets of Paris expertly. Each was kind and engaging in their own way and had something to add to the tour. Simon speaks flawless (maybe first language?) English and was very fun to learn from. Batiste has an excellent grasp on English, and was able to narrate much of the tour to his passengers. Jean speaks much more English than we do French, and added some details along the way, too. Overall, this tour was a fantastic experience! It was a great way to start our Paris adventure, getting a tour of the city while learning some history. My entire family agrees the Txango Tours Sidecar tour in Paris was one of our very favorite travel experiences ever, and we highly recommend it to anyone who is...
Read moreIf you're looking for an unforgettable tour in Paris, Txango Tours is the way to go—and if you're lucky enough to get JJ as your guide, you're in for something truly special!
JJ led us through the wild and wonderful streets of Paris in the most fun, exhilarating way imaginable. It was action-packed from start to finish, but never rushed—he struck the perfect balance between high-energy adventure and deep, insightful storytelling. He brought the city to life with fascinating facts, hidden gems, and a sense of humor that had all of us, including a notoriously unimpressed teenager, completely captivated and smiling from ear to ear.
Not only did he take us to all the must-see spots, but he also snapped some amazing photos along the way (seriously, Instagram-worthy!), and shared thoughtful recommendations tailored to our interests—like where to find peaceful green spaces amid the buzz of the city.
I can confidently say this was the highlight of our vacation, and I’ll be recommending Txango Tours—and JJ- to everyone I know heading to Paris. Thank you for such a memorable and...
