The schedule was very delayed, instead of leaving at 8:15pm, departure was at 8:45pm. There was no explanation as to why or how. There were people who were let in first in advance which might have been the reason for this delay but there was no transparence in that regard. Once inside, they seat you at your designated table, hand you a menu, and give you some time to decide on what to have. Afterwards, the boat leaves and they take your order for all courses and drinks. The top deck is open to access for everyone at any moment. Serving time in between plates was decent, gives you enough time to digest and enjoy the taste of your food. Non-alcoholic and a good variety of alcoholic beverages available. The food was delicious, not the most exceptional for the price of the experience, mind you, but some of it was still good. The trio starter was the best. I ordered the bass which was slightly overcooked. The baba with rhum and hibiscus syrup was very nice and the flavors were harmonious. The dim lights help with the atmosphere. On the way back, the boat stopped for some moments by the Eiffel Tower so people could take pictures together. During the cruise, there was a photography company that would take pictures of you and anyone else at the table. Depending on how many photos they take and how many you are in one seating, one photo can cost 20 euros. All in all, it was an alright experience. I got my reservation for a discounted price from a booking website, but I would not pay 80+ euros for another experience. It's just something I would enjoy doing once for the sake of experiencing it. I recommend looking into your different options and prices, and compare each of them to see what fits you best. Also, don't be daunted by the premise of a 'fancy', expensive dinner cruise along the Seine. The Capitaine Fracasse is semi-formal at best and there is no strict dresscode. People can come wearing shorts, Birkenstocks, jeans, etc. No need to be too smart for the occasion.

I enjoyed my time on the ship, the employees were kind courteous and engaging. I must say though the food was the very worst part / only bad part of the whole experience. And that is with the rain and the fact we could not sight see from the deck as we had hoped. But the view from inside was still great. I was very taken back by the vegetarian dish, of all my meals in France it was the worst , my date and I both felt sick. I am always surprised when a chef can not make a good dish without meat, it shows a real lack of skill. The local thai places in France were more creative and culinary. I’d recommend for the tour for the drinks for atmosphere but definitely not the food. ( see attached pictures, the salad was a simple iceberg chopped salad with artichokes ( not fresh) with some hummus and a tomato. , the main was …. A lasagna? That felt bland uninspired and like eating a sponge, almost like they took all the clippings and scraps put it in a dish and added old breading. It may be the worst vegetarian meal I have ever had, the dessert was chopped strawberries pineapple and bits of mango, this was the best part of the meal. Minus the drinks, which were also lacking as I ordered a mule and they said no rum on board, or ginger, so he suggested a whisky, I asked for on the rocks it came neat. I know this comes off critical but I think it fair to share the exact experience so you know going in what to expect. Expect a friendly boat ride , nice photographers, good waiters, and good views.

Mostly a pleasant experience, however a few faux-pas to consider. Booked a window seat and luckily got placed at the front. Great views along the Seine and a comfortable ride. The top deck is good for taking photos. Upon seating, we received a menu to which there is only one starter, 3/4 choices of main and 3 desserts but we were told there was only 2 desserts available that day. Bottle of rosé wine came warm and after starters. No-one ever asked us at any point if the food was ok or if we needed anything. My chicken was raw in the middle and when I needed the assistance of the waitress, she was nowhere to be found. I found another waitress and told her; she was very displeased and showed annoyance that I was telling her this. Service was poor probably because this cruise runs on skeleton staff, hire more staff!! Waiting time between each course was about 30 minutes and this meant it was almost impossible to go outside as you’d never know when the food would come. We received no offer of tea and coffee with dessert, which was part of the package paid for. Photographer prices are a rip off, €20 for one photo, and €40 for 3, and €50 for 5!! And then when I asked the photographer for one minute to consider if we would purchase, he told us no as we were docking but that isn’t my problem he left it so late coming around with the photos. This cruise needs better service and planning to operate efficiently. The manager should really look at the operation of this cruise in terms of service, wait time, and food quality. Nice views from ship and food (when cooked) tasted good, but for the price, it needs to improve in a lot of ways.

I was so excited for this dinner cruise as it was the only one I found which offers a vegan menu. I read reviews which said to remind them about ordering the vegan dinner, as others had had some issues. So I booked the vegan menu, also mentioning it in the booking comments. Then when the reminder email came out I also replied to that confirming the vegan menu (which they replied to confirming). When we arrived and say down we again good the waiter we had ordered the vegan menu. When the starter came out I noticed it looked the same as the other table's, which made me suspicious. Unfortunately by the time I noticed and said something to my husband he had already taken a bite of what turned out to be fois gras pate! When we (finally, after trying to get his attention for so long that our neighbouring table also started trying) asked the waiter if it was vegan he seemed a bit confused but then said "oh if you don't want meat then don't eat any of those". I am so infuriated that because of poor organisation/coordination we were served those disgusting meals which are in direct contradiction with our beliefs. Plus they would have thrown it all out, so it is extra wasteful and offensive. We were then brought the correct starter, and the main and dessert were the right ones (after we triple checked with the waiter). Unfortunately the mistake with the starter ruined the whole experience for us. Even confirming 3 times they do didn't get it right. If it hadn't been for that the cruise would have been lovely.

The entire experience was HORRID. The waitress assigned to us was beyond RUDE. Even if the view and cruise could have been nice, the service ruined the expensive evening. There was a long strand of HAIR in my entree. Not just accidentally on the side but embedded within the chicken. See photos. After informing our waitress, she brushed it off as no big deal, took the dish away and never said a thing other than "I'll tell my boss". I don't think she did. No apology. No offer to provide a new plate of food. No refund. Just took it away like it was my problem I wouldn't eat the dish with a piece of hair sticking out of it. The waitress also refused to bring our table a high chair for a toddler. NOT kid-friendly. Said it was too much trouble but we proceeded to see another waiter bring one to a neighboring table less than 5 mins later. We also saw several unused ones by the kitchen so the clearly lazy waitress just didn't want to bring one to us. She was sooo in rude during the entire service. Pretended she didn't understand English, which is shocking if you are in the service business on a tourist dinner cruise. So PLEASE, spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

Wonderful service, excellent deal, definitely will take time to recommend this establishment. The voyage was peaceful and the entire staff were fully immersed in accommodating the guests and making sure everyone enjoyed their voyage. Well organized, very efficient and absolutely worth doing. Tickets, I believe, must be purchased online or in advance as sales are not done near the boat as far as I saw. The dinner is wonderful, today I experienced the brunch tour and although the eggs with truffles were quite a strong taste for me I was not left feeling hungry. The photographers are very competent and have fun posing you if you’d like and are happy to make sure you have wonderful prints, the photos are sold separately and I believe you have the option to have the prints made before you leave. If you are looking for a good, enjoyable time I would say visit this establishment. Customer satisfaction is their priority and they have a standard of excellence, and efficiency. I have visited multiple times, enough to form an opinion (so more than three) and I am very impressed with each experience.
