Contrary to other reviews, I had an AMAZING experience on this boat. I booked a dinner cruise for 7:30 - 8:45 (19:30 - 20:45) and paid the extra amount for a window seat. Some people next to me who were early in line also got window seats without paying extra. No big deal, good for them! They sent multiple follow up emails to ensure you know where to board with very clear directions. Check your PDF ticket for a map and email for GPS coordinates. I found it easy to follow, although there is no sign at the boarding location. It’s just a locked iron gate. If you are one of the first there, you will be unsure. Once more people line up it is obvious where to go. When I first got on board, I was seated as requested and there was a bottle of water waiting for each guest as well as a wine glass if you previously booked wine or champagne with your service. If not, it’s OK! You can always order on the boat. There was no choice of appetizer. It was already chosen. There were 2 main entrees (fish and veal) to choose from, and an auxiliary vegetarian gluten free option. And 2 desserts to choose from (chocolate mousse or rice pudding). Appetizers came very quickly, then after the boat departed the servers were quick to start coming around to take orders. Use the QR code on your table to view the drink and food menus. Be prepared to order ALL courses from drinks to dessert when they come around. Once ordered, I went to the top of the boat for air and pictures. Even though it rained for part of the trip, I brought an umbrella and was still allowed on top as was everyone else. Even though i had a window seat, i stayed on top as much as possible. Much better views and pictures. I just peeked down through the glass at my table periodically to see if my drinks or food were being served, then went down if so. The food came promptly. My veal was incredibly good and the broth it came with was so delicious. I enjoyed all courses served and felt it was timely and well cooked. There were ZERO announcements of landmarks. It is up to you to find them and choose when to take photos. There are two staff photographers who will be available to take your pictures. They will print them without your asking and offer you a selection to keep, of up to 3 I believe, for ~15€. They were good quality pictures in color or black and white for ambiance. I chose to take my own pictures on my phone and ask other passengers to take some for me. When it came time to settle the bill (which was extra because I had extra alcohol that I didn’t previously pay for) the server came and found me on the top deck. Cash or card are accepted. Overall, between dinner and the views and experience, it was well worth it. Many passengers were on a romantic getaway and had a lovely time. I wholeheartedly recommend this cruise.

We enjoyed the experience overall and it met our expectations, however there were a few things that meant we couldn't give it 5 stars The food was very nice and restaurant quality - we were pleasantly surprised that we liked things we didn't think we would. We were told that our trip wouldn't be on the original boat, but the replacement boat was very nice so this wasn't a problem. The service was good and all the waiters spoke English - they were very polite and helpful. They had a professional photographer who provided 3 printed photos for €30 which was reasonable The main issue I had was before boarding. I booked with Paris En Scene but received no confirmation other than an email receipt. I emailed them (contactpes@vedettesdelaseine.com) to check everything was okay but received no reply. Days before the trip, I received an email from Capitaine Fracasse including confirmation and a boarding pass. The website wouldn't work to let me download the boarding pass. I then received further emails from Vedettes de le Seine including confirmation on the day of my booking. I was left really confused about who exactly we had booked with and what experience we were going to get. When we arrived, it seemed all brands were from the same port and run by the same company, but I still couldn't download my boarding pass so I had to show my receipt as proof to board the boat. Also I had pre booked a Rose for my wife, but this was not provided. When I asked and showed my booking, they were happy to provide one and the service was great, but this did ruin the surprise! We also found that the lighting was very dark and we couldn't really see our dishes. I appreciate this was not their usual boat but it did need better lighting In our opinion Overall, we were glad we went on this trip as it was a good experience, but I felt anxious about paying such a large fee up front and having sub standard communication

Firstly I was shocked at one bottle if water being shared between two and thought that incredibly strange. Secondly I was shocked at how filthy the glasses were and then I began noticing everything else. The glasses and cutlery were filthy as well as the rubber plate rest at the tables. We ordered drinks a coke zero and a mango juice we waited a solid 40 mins before we received these drinks. Our starter was served supposedly ‘beluga lentil velouté’ something I’ve never heard of before can only describe it as blended up mushrooms with dirt and foamed milk on top. This was the single most vile food item I have ever witnessed but alas we all have different tastes and I was excited for the rest of the food nonetheless. My coke zero arrived flat, I let the waitress know she took it and bought it back to me ten minutes later stating ‘we cannot get bubbles’ i was not offered an alternative simply left to sit there with my flat coke. I was still charged for it at rhe end of my meal despite the waitress knowing it was flat and I was unable to drink it. Then came some very random bread rolls which were placed onto afore mentioned filthy mat and so therefore not eaten. Then finally the mains were served, i loved that they were being served in cast iron pots I thought it was a really cute touch and was looking forward to my veal blanquette however when the lid was lifted it smelt like fish, I thought a mistake had been made and so told the waitress oh ‘I ordered the veal’ to which she replied ‘yes this is veal’. I tasted some of the veal and it was like eating a stringy bit of fish i do not know what happened there. I tried to eat some of the rice from around it and the rice was hard and bland. At this point I was honestly starving i had done 16 thousand steps and not eaten since 11am I had one of my daughter’s chicken strips and these were lovely! I did not try the potatoes but they looked good! On to dessert we both went with the mango, I was pleased to be able to actually eat something. This was our very first activity and I tried so had to enjoy it but felt throughly let down by the food. We had a great experience with the photographers on board and made some special memories but I really do feel like it was tainted. I would appreciate if my review could be taken on board and a better service could be provided for future patrons I would hate for anyone to feel as let down as I have this evening.

We had a dinner cruise with a group of family. The ambiance on the boat was great and the route we sailed was beautiful to see. We saw the Eiffel Tower by night, which was great. However the food was not that nice. We had a 3 course meal which was included in the price. For drinks we needed to pay separately. The price of the drinks was reasonable. The 3 course meal started with a salmon mouse with bread which was delicious and very promising. We would give this appetizer an 8 out of 10. But everything else what came after that, was not delicious and is rated with a 4 out of 10. The main dish was greens (merely peas) with chicken or fish. The saus/taste was overwhelming to the point that you get tired of the taste after 3 bites. And the dessert was frozen fruit, the type you would normally make a smoothie with and not just eat, or you could choose a chocolate mouse, which one of us found an insect 🦟 in. It was sent back to the kitchen and replaced by a chocolate cake. But to topp it off we had a photoshoot we paid for some hardcopy pictures and receiving the rest digital. Now 2 weeks after we still haven’t received the digital pictures, although sending several mails that is not being responded to. Very dissapointing. All by all, this could be a wonderful dinner cruise if the quality and taste of the food would improve. It would be good to add something like potatoes, rice or some kind of side dish to go along with the chicken and fish, to create a more balanced taste. And serve fresh fruit and make sure to have good hygiene in the kitchen. So for us this dinner cruise gets only 2 of the 5 stars. And if you would like to try this dinner cruise, don’t get your hopes high and only pay for hardcopy pictures to take immediately and don’t expect to receive any digital pictures.

So for what it is, it is a good deal. What was not ideal was the first come first serve seating determined by the host. As we were - party of three we were sat at a table furthest from the window with a lovely beam in our view despite being quite early and were seated at about the 40% capacity point. View is ok but the lights are only dimmed for the window rows. So it’s hard to see out as well with all the reflection. The food was quite good and served efficiently. The kids meal wasn’t worth it, just get them the adult one. What deserves three stars is that when the servers (who all spoke English and French) took our drink order my wife asked what was included. The server then just repeated the offerings. An hour later we were given a 21 euro bill for two glasses of red wine. We would have bought it anyway but the action by the server was dishonest. So yes the company notes this is a “water” tour but that’s pretty much edging on unethical marketing and most consumers would read that as a dinner tour on the water. So caveat emptor. Great cruise and a very fair price. But anyone who hasn’t done it before needs to know the drinks are not included, and frankly they are of very low quality “well” alcohol level and we found the mini bottle of wine we were served in a market the next day for 3 euro. Just be aware, and to the owners you have a very well oiled machine that provides a great service. But when a customer asks what is included you should feel ethically obligated to answer the question truthfully.

I would avoid this dinner cruise at all costs. First, the port was not easy to find. They had signs pointing to one port saying to wait there, which was actually a half a mile away from the actual port. Upon calling the customer service number, the representative told us to meet at a different port, which was still the wrong port. After finally finding the boat (which wasn't marked at all), the inside looked nothing like the images on Groupon nor their website (see below). We didn't mind that too much though. Upon lauch, the boat went a little towards the Eiffle Tower then turned around down the river. The view the whole time was industrial buildings and woods. Also, the windows were practically mirrors. It was near impossible to see outside due to the lights on the inside (see below). Once we got our food, the rice was the blandest rice I've ever had. Pretty sure it was cooked in a bag. My wife's chicken was dry and my salmon was watery. Near docking, a representative came around and told us due to the flooding they had to take a different path (which was understandable and not their fault but would of been great to know upon purchase), and we received a free river tour (no dinner) that was good for a year. This was a nice effort to fix the wrong route, but useless for us who don't live in Paris. All in all, find a different dinner cruise. It might cost more, but this one is not worth the price.
