Pharmacie Bir Hakeim — Local services in Paris

My wife fell and injured her hand less than 30 min before we were scheduled to leave for a flight from Atlanta, Georgia to Paris France. She was carrying a flower pot, when she lost her balance, crashed to the floor, breaking the flower pot, and then falling on it, which gouged her hand in two places. Not wanting to miss the flight, she hastily washed the wounds, applied some hydrogen peroxide and a couple of bandaids. We then set off for the airport, and flew 8 hours to a Paris. After we checked into the hotel, we asked at the front desk, if they could recommend a Pharmacy. They recommended the ‘Pharmacie at Bir Hakeim Metro Station’ (actually across the street from it). We went there for a recommendation for an antiseptic, to try to keep the open wound from getting infected. No less than three staff looked at it, and finally a gentleman came out of the back room, looked at it and asked her to have a seat on a nearby chair. The pharmacist then proceeded to pull up a stool for himself...cleaned the still oozing wound, made sure the skin was pulled over the wound and put on steri strips to keep the skin in place. He then wrapped the hand in bandages and gave instructions that of the pain of the puffy and bruised hand did not improve in the next 48 hours, she would probably need antibiotics to insure the hand was not infected. Never in my life have I encountered the caring and compassionate attention I watched my wife receive from Lan Durand. He is indeed one of a kind. I am so grateful and fortunate to have been able to have him treat my wife’s wounds. They improved markedly within 24 hours, and continue to heal without incident. The best pharmacy me and my sister ever went to! We were so touched by how friendly and helpful they were. My sister had scratch and bruises on our first day of trip from scooter. We struggled to find what kind of treatment is needed so just bought basic stuff. Then one of the staff came to us, checked her condition and changed product we bought to the correct one. He even taught us how to apply medicine and take care of it. Since then her ankle got so much better and all bruises are almost gone now. Thank you so much for your kindness it really relieved us a lot to continue our 3 weeks trip. Also, we had a very good support when went back to buy some cosmetics on our last day of paris trip. Korean staff recommended good products based on her experience even I didn’t really have any idea what to buy. She was very helpful and kind like the other staff we experienced. Little help and kindness we experienced in this shop really changed the whole day and trip. Hope everyone visit this pharmacy and have the same experience! We will definitely go back here...

As soon as we got to our hotel, we started looking for a place where we can do our tests since we had a hard time with the 48hr requirement prior to departure and coming back to the states required a test 24hr prior. Thankfully, we were able to find this place. It was a 6min walk from our hotel and the reviews made it easy to decide on going with them. The process was super smooth. Went on their website and was able to book an app for my husband and I. Paid then went across the street to do the actual testing. 10min later, (maybe even sooner) the results were both printed out and sent to our emails electronically. The person (I’m sorry I can’t remember his name) that did our test was very friendly, courteous and sanitized everything before administering the test. The test result printout had a QR code so we were able to scan the code on the VeriFLY app and the test was accepted with no problems....
