eatDOORI - Indisches Restaurant Mainz — Restaurant in Mainz

A nice restaurant but I wasn't blown away. We mostly had starters, as we wanted to try out multiple dishes.

The pan-fried cauliflower was great, the papadoms were just ok. The stir-fried mushrooms were very nice, but the pan-fried batat was too seasoned. Generally everything had too much cumin which just killed the taste. The naan bread with garlic was quite good, but the vegan main dish we had - grilled tofu with rice and salad - extremely poorly seasoned but with tons of cumin. We actually left almost half of it. It was also quite expensive in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and polite, and the ambiance is nice.

To sum up - give it a try but find dishes which are reasonably seasoned and don't expect the perfect...

Edit: After complaining with this review and contacting Eatdoori itself through email, they have explained the situation, as there was an issue in their internet ordering system. Apart from solving that and a refund, they have also promised to train their employees to contact the clients when there’s a problem with an item in a delivery.

Indian food at the next level with a modern flair. The restaurant is bright and lively with great music and hopping atmosphere. Definitely a modern and trendy space with fun Indian style and decor.

The food is fantastic. Traditional dishes and fun street food make eatDOORI the perfect place to make every foodie (regardless of age) happy and wanting more.

The Paneer Pav with masala fries is so delish. My husband, who has traveled the world, says the butter chicken is the best he’s ever eaten. The basmati rice is perfection. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating. Don’t come to Mainz without making a reservation...
