Would have purchased if the employee working there didnât make us so uncomfortable.
This is my momâs first trip back to Italy in many many years & all she has been talking about leading up to the visit is going to the Prada stores to get these sneakers she wanted and also consider a bag. Friday April 21st, 2023, as soon as we walk in, ask where the shoes are, there is an dark haired lady employee in glasses who follows us up there. She helps us with the shoes which is great, but then as we explore the rest of the store, she follows us around every single second. I am looking around at MANY other people in the store & they DO NOT have a staff member following them around everywhere they go or standing in the same rooms as them. There was a lady sitting in one room doing nothing, not even shopping, there was no employees watching her. Then on top of that, a man working there started going around offering drinks to guestsâŚoffered one to this lady who was on her phone, but walked quickly past me & my mom, who were the only others in the section actually trying on shoes. If you think Iâm overreacting, this same lady followed us back down to the lobby floor & when my mom started going to look around this floor, the lady assumed we were looking for the exit as if she was rushing us out. This whole experience was extremely upsetting & disrespectful. Put a very negative energy on our first day in Milano & I could tell it genuinely made my mother sad. She tried to play off her following by looking at her phone, but it was so painfully obvious what she was doing. They did not treat us African Americans this way in Amsterdam or Belgium, so it was really surprising that it suddenly changed here. Again, for the lady employee who worked April 21 2023, I truly hope you will do better. Treat your customers of all backgrounds, nationalities, styles THE SAME or do not work in...
Read moreQuite disappointing experience. We must admit, we were late by around 30 minutes. As soon as we arrived we were brought up to a personal experience room and were a bit surprised as my girlfriend had to just purchase a bag and perhaps was looking at some other features to with it. Clearly said that we had an appointment and were there for the bag, her name is Victoria and they managed to confuse it with Ezra. Lady with dark hair who brought us up did not know I speak Italian and started playing the card that we were the one who mistakenly told her we had an appointment and we sounded Turkish(my girlfriend is British and I have lived in London for 12 years so quite surprised how we sounded or looked Turkish), anyways rushed upstairs to then get sent downstairs in total confusion with who to talk to. Overall experience was quite embarrassing and disappointing staff, lady below assumed we were American and couldnât find our account.
In other words, we wonât be coming back. Easier to...

Unfortunately, our experience at Prada Milan did not live up to our expectations. Although the sales assistant was very kind and welcoming, she unfortunately provided us with incorrect information regarding the tax refund process.
We were told that everything would be handled automatically on our credit card and that no further steps were required on our part. However, this turned out to be inaccurate: it was necessary to stop at a French-Italian border to validate the documents, which was impossible for us since our train was direct from Milan to Basel.
This misinformation made it impossible for us to complete the tax refund process, despite our efforts to follow the instructions given in-store. This is disappointing for a prestigious brand like Prada, where excellence in service should...
