I recently had an outstanding experience with the Vanessa Secondi from Global Blue office in Milan, and I can't praise their service enough.
Upon entering the office, I was in a bit of a bind regarding my airport tax refund, but Vanessa Secondi came to my rescue. She was incredibly helpful, taking the time to understand my situation in detail. Vanessa went above and beyond by arranging the full - fledged VIP assistant service at the airport for me.
Not only did she set up this amazing support, but also She kept in touch with me via email, closely tracking the progress of my tax refund. Her consistent follow - ups ensured that every step of the process was transparent, and she made sure I received my refund without any hitches.
Thanks to Vanessa what could have been a stressful and confusing experience turned out to be seamless. The VIP assistants Ms Zhanna at the airport guided me through each procedure, from document checks to the final refund collection. I was truly impressed by the efficiency and attentiveness of the entire team.
I'm extremely grateful for the assistance I received. Five - star service...
Read moreYou need a "sticker" or "access pass" to enter the Global Blue lounge. I wasn't aware of this, since Planet doesn't require this.
I had to go back to the store I bought at to ask for a sticker, only to be informed that I needed to hit a minimum to get the sticker (this was at bottega) so then I went to ferragamo and they gladly gave us the sticker (not sure if they recognized us from before since it was a different salesperson but no one asked any questions or mentioned a minimum (or maybe we met the minimum?)
Anyway, be sure to ask for the sticker if you want to do your Italy returns at this office. You won't be let in without it. Also if you traveled to other countries and bought there, they can't do those VAT returns at this office, they can only process the Italy ones. You'll still have to do your other country VAT returns at the airport.
Once we got into the lounge, the service was fast (Friday at noon). No wait, they were very organized and walked us through the...
Read moreFor Swiss residents, who traveled by train like me, to get a tax refund, one had to get a custom stamp at the last train station (in my case, Domodossola) before the train exited Italy. Which was easier said than done. If I got out of my train at Domodossola to get a stamp, I’d likely miss the train, which stopped for only 5 minutes. If I waited for the next connecting train, it’d be 4 hours wait. Also, my return train tix were booked in advance, it’d cost more for me to book a new train so to get tax refund, which wouldn’t make up to the train tix + time + logistics. The stamp meant to prove that purchased goods were exported from Italy, but it was not possible to get custom stamp at Milano Centrale station before I boarded the direct train. If someone really wanted to cheat the system, one could still get the stamp at Domodossola and kept the goods in Italy, what would be the difference from stamping at the boarding station,...
