Rose Douce — Local services in Venice

We randomly stumbled upon this place which drew us in for some reason and thank God for that! What a gem of a gentleman that runs the store. There was a genuiness to the vibe and the way he interacted with us and guided us greatly throughout the process of buying jewelry and a small Murano piece. He has limited, but unique and exquisite items displayed very well. And he is ever willing to show them to you. Not touristy at all and it's so refreshing when most stores in Venice are either selling knockoffs or are rude to tourists or simply don't care about you. I wish this store operates a long time. When I came across this store it was closed, but I browsed the jewelry shown in the windows and it was love at first sight!!! I came back twice to catch it open and am now a proud owner of cute earrings. The store offers amazing jewelry, replicas or designs inspired by jewelry of previous eras you can often see in museums. I had the pleasure of serendipitously stumbling upon this place whilst wandering Venice with my mother. We met the owner who meticulously took his time telling us about the artisans whose jewelry we were interested in (and eventually bought!). Though other customers were looking in, he made us feel like we were VIP and really took care of us until we finished our transaction.
