Hey there — let me share a little gem I stumbled upon in Ginza.
So, Chanel at Mitsukoshi Ginza? Yeah, it’s tucked away neatly on the 2nd floor, shining like a quiet promise. As a guy who takes pride in the small rituals of life, I wore a suit. Call it old-fashioned, but to me, dressing up when visiting a luxury boutique — especially as a foreigner — is just part of being respectful. I mean, you’re showing your passport anyway, right? Might as well look like a gentleman while doing it.
Now, I did read some mixed reviews about this place — something about the staff needing to mind their P’s and Q’s. But honestly? People are people. And when you walk in looking sharp and behaving kindly, more often than not, that energy comes back to you.

Now, maybe it’s just me, but buying something nice here — under the tax-free limit — is one of life’s quieter joys. My wife will be thrilled, and that’s always a win in my book. So yeah, if you’re in Ginza and want to mix a little elegance with everyday kindness, give it...

The trainee seemed unsure, so I mentioned that a cardigan would also be fine. She took out two pieces, which I didn’t like.
While she was opening the cabinet, I noticed some short-sleeve tops and asked politely if they had any. To my shock, she snapped at me in an annoyed tone, saying “No short sleeves!” Her attitude was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional.
I immediately walked out. I will never return...

I wanted to buy a pair of shoes and was waiting for another SA (who knew that I was waiting for her) to finish up with a customer. So naturally I took a seat and waited. It took a while, but waited patiently.
Then comes flared nostrils lady out of no where, and fully knew I’m not Japanese, spoke to me in Japanese and told me that I’m not allowed to seat here!! She then gave me side eyes after I told her that I’m waiting for the other SA for help!
