I did a lot of research before choosing this place. My parents were staying in the area and I wanted to be close to them so I had to find a place in this area. I would say this place was the best of all the places I'd examined. Very responsive management, really nice recently renovated building and rooms, with a nice selection of room configurations depending on your needs and budget. The prices are very reasonable for what they offer.
The application process is just as rigorous as any monthly mansions, which also adds a layer of peace of mind when staying here. People felt comfortable enough to leave their umbrellas and other wet items outside of their apartment doors.
The location is also fantastic -- most of my social life centered around Azabu, but getting to Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku, or anywhere was very convenient, thanks to its proximity to both the Roppongi and Roppongi Icchome stations -- although I didn't use them, there are bus stations very nearby as well. Taxis are super easy to find as well given the location.
Although it faces one of the main streets of Roppongi, the entrance is on a side street, and it's just far enough from the main bars and clubs that it is pretty quiet in the rooms (I was on the ninth floor facing west, so it may be different on lower floors, facing south).
The staff is very responsive and helpful as well. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because it would be nice if the place had some basic gym or other facilities. I mostly didn't mind that the front desk staff were not always around, since that provided some privacy as well.
Definitely will...
Read moreI stayed there for slightly more than a month and was very happy to get out. Location - not near any stations. Walking to Roppongi station is a nightmare because you will walk through a dirty with puke and bottles and rowdy street of nightclubs, casinos and drunkards day or night. You will get woken up every weekend 8am with protests vans shouting through their loudspeakers. Room - extremely small for the price paid and the price was not accordingly to the website. It was higher. Furniture were super dated. I had headaches from the pillow and backaches from the chair. Room was dark most of the time. The washing machine, bathtub, toilet and all were old and somewhat dirty. Service - I stayed for a month, they don’t replenish any amenities, not hand wash soap or toilet paper. You get one toilet roll for entire contract. They also only clean my room once for the entire contract. Rest of the time, you survived with your own towel, buy your own toilet rolls. It’s alright to wash our own towels and bedsheets but there is no space to dry them. No English speaking staff and no...
Read moreI've stayed at duplex multiple times and I hate to say it but this place has really gone downhill since they changed owners. First off, their old disconnected phone no is still listed on their English site so you need to goto the Japanese site. Next, If you contact them via the form, alot of times they dont even respond. When they do respond, they are very slow, never provide a name or contact so you have no idea who is helping you....
