Bacon Bros Present Shaka Bros — Restaurant in Christchurch

When done right their burgers are amazing, fries are spot on, and the best is their Shaka sauce which I would buy by the litre if possible.

Our first several experiences were great, but over the last 6months or so sadly we have had a run of misses ordering over the UberEats app which have ruined the experience - from raw jackfruit in a burger once, to no sauce in burgers, and bacon and other key advertised ingredients missing in others (multiple times), and the last few times having the Shaka sauce (the #1 reason for us ordering) being left out of our order. I’m not sure if it’s just new staff or maybe less care being given to delivery orders when they’re busy but sadly it has meant we’ve gone elsewhere for the reliability quite a few times even when we were really craving Shaka burgers.

Team, your menu and flavours are primo, pretty please could you check in with your team on delivery orders?

There have been changes to the Uber Eats options which also make it really confusing ie. Is the extra $1 Uber add-on for fries for a pottle of Shaka sauce or something else? If not can you please indicate an option to request sauce for fries if you’re not providing that as standard? And are free “add-ons” in the burger options the ingredients already listed as included, or actually extras? (Ie. Do you have to re-tick all the ingredients listed in the description as well). Your old UberEats format was heaps more user friendly but even just adding a field for comments to clarify any confusing parts would help a lot.

All that to say that despite the struggles you really can’t beat an incredibly addictive Shaka burger on a good day, so I’ve just ordered for dinner now with fingers crossed we get what we were after in the end!

Would be 5 stars without hesitation if UberEats user experience and reliability was fixed, and in person haven’t...

Very nice chill place, pretty good burgers and even better drinks (when you can get ahold of them) sadly the letlown was the service, I got handed the order buzzer so I was waiting for my order to be called and never was, so my food sat ready for about 10 or so minutes, and when I ordered my food I purchased a apple cider, no problems, but during the long wait I had finished it, came back to the counter to order another, but the waitress had changed, and she said asked for my id, i did not have it on me at the time, so I said I could not show her. But I had already ordered one and drank it, and I hardly look under 18. Yet she still insisted she would not serve me. I understand she would be worried as it would be illegal to serve alcohol to a minor but considering I am 24, on a good day I look 20. And had already drank one, and what 17 year old is going to sneaky order a 4% cider? Not a beer or hard alcohol? Bit...

At first two burgers have being very delicious ,but the other one was not nice at all ! The Haloumi was not really fried also the hash brown was cold and not roasted in the inside and the bread was hard and dry not because of frying because it was cold straight out of the kitchen ! The two service girls standing at the desk and talking, ignored our orders ,told us they will bring it after we asked for our drinks and „forget“ us again.Our Table has been sticky, dirty and full of napkins and she didn’t took it or cleaned it anyway so I did both by myself.The Hygienic standard was also not nice they don’t washed hands after touching rags for cleaning the floor and doing drinks for guest .All of them defrently need to wash hands when the switch work but no one did …They defrently need service and...
