I had an unfortunate experience with PaperPlus Parnell that I feel compelled to share. On February 27th, 2024, I personally dropped off a bulky tent set at PaperPlus Parnell without any packaging. I was shipping it to a rural address, and the shipping cost was around $50. Initially, an older staff member informed me that the parcel needed to be packaged. However, when I was about to leave, he stopped me and assured me it was okay to send it without packaging. I provided the destination address on a piece of paper, under the impression that PaperPlus Parnell, as an agent of NZPost, would handle the appropriate packaging.
Unfortunately, the parcel never arrived at its destination. It turned out that PaperPlus Parnell had packaged the parcel using old tracking number labels with outdated addresses still attached. As a result, the parcel was lost, and NZPost refused to take responsibility. I lost the tent set, had to reimburse the shipping cost, and dealt with the aftermath with the buyer, wasting a significant amount of time.
If NZPost does not accept items without packaging, why did PaperPlus Parnell accept my parcel in that condition? As a retailer under NZPost, this is a corporate compliance issue that cost me dearly. As a customer, I relied on their services as part of NZPost network and was unaware of any missteps in the packaging process that occurred after I left the parcel in their care.
I haven’t set foot in PaperPlus Parnell since then. It's a shame tho. I truly hope they are...

The workers literally seem like they don’t want to have to answer any questions or deal with customers at all. I asked to post something with a digital pre paid slip and had to pay $9 for it to be printed including being charged to use sellotape. Almost got charged for using scissors… this to me is ridiculous.
