This company has serious management problems. On my last drop-off, I chose to donate any items that weren’t accepted. I brought in a large bag with over 20 pieces. A week later, I received an email saying 8 items were accepted and 3 were donated.
This left me wondering what happened to the rest of my clothes. I remembered organizing everything carefully at home, but realized there was no way for me to confirm the total number of items with staff at drop-off. Having a simple confirmation process would help give customers peace of mind and ensure transparency.
I tried reaching out to provide this feedback. Unfortunately, the store’s phone line wasn’t working, and the emails I sent to both customer service and the store went unanswered. My intention wasn’t to accuse anyone, but to ask how I could prevent this from happening again and to share an idea that might help improve the experience for others.
Based on my experience, once clothes are dropped off, customers don’t have much visibility or clarity about what happens next. A few small changes—such as confirming item counts and responding to customer inquiries—could really build trust and make the process...
Read moreWorst Recycle Boutique in NZ. I have great experience with Wellington Recycle Boutique, but this one is horrible! I went there three times to sell clothes, every time they took the most valuable clothes (a pair of designer brand outfit, a lululemon shirt, etc) out and took position by themselves and only sell the rest. I regret to allow them to donate to charity directly which obviously they didn’t give to charity. I’d rather give these clothes to charity by myself.
What’s even funny is the last time I went there and chose to get my stuff back if they are not selected. The weird thing is I only got part of the total items back, there are three items missing, not returning to me and also not listing to sell. I have waited for another two weeks and they are still not go to active selling. I guess they are stolen again. Can’t believe how their store is operated. Be careful if you want to...

Went there twice but all get rejected with reasons that can't find on their website.
The first time went with 6 items, someone said "it's all good conditions, but we only except at least 10" while on the website was written clearly as "5+ pieces".
The second time went there, with parking at the "Wilson's carpark on Elliot Street" as they said on the website, which was actually far away from the shop, then arrived at about 4:40 pm. This time they told us, "we don't accept items after 4:30 pm", which I still can't find it anywhere on the website as well.
Thanks, but no thanks. I used to be a fan of them and told my friends about this place, it's a fantastic choose to deal with unwanted clothes in good condition. But I guess it's time to give them...
