Roly's Fudge Pantry — Local services in Great Britain

I went to Roly’s fudge for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great, I actually left feeling annoyed, as the sales assistant by the till wasn’t helpful. I came with a text request from my sister to get specific fudges and told the sales assistant that this was my first time here. Her demeanour didn’t seem to reciprocate that, and when I pointed out at the individual fudges at the front and asked how many I can get, she was like “1, 10, 20 etc...” in a slightly patronising way, like somehow I should have known that. She just told me which ones my sister wanted and they multi-deal option. That was it. When it came to the payment, she was turning away to her colleague sitting behind her and basically chatting away while I was still there. No real thank you. Traditional fudge chain. A little expensive but very nice fudge with lots of flavours(chocolate, butterscotch, maple and walnut, lemon meringue, cherry bakewell, Baileys, rum raisin and occasional limited flavours like Christmas pudding). Staff are friendly and you can often watch them as they make the fudge behind the counter. Fudge comes prepacked or you can pick individual pieces from the various flavours and make your own pack of flavours. They do use nuts and peanuts inside so you will want to check with the staff what flavours do and do not contain nuts or just avoid the place depending on the severity of any allergies. I arrived 30 minutes before close today and the staff member was very uninterested in engaging. I asked her what her favourite fudge was as I was picking flavours and she said “well, there are quite a few…” I was in a rush so was curious how long it lasted before it goes off and she said “it’s on the packet…” These responses gave me the impression she thought I was just an idiot for asking when I could have figured it out for myself.
