We had to throw away all beds and mattresses (pretty much everything we owned was trashed) in our home and completely gut our home down to concrete and 2x4’s due to toxic mold. We had a water leak and subsequent damages to our home yet the worst was mold toxicity in my kids and my husband. Because of the mold in our bodies and the fact we are healing and detoxing from mold I researched EVERYTHING in re building our home and for certain items to come into our home.

I researched so much about these wool mattresses and I am so thankful we made the investment to have a wool bed for each of our kids and our bed. It’s been a game changer. I feel like not only can I sleep at night having the peace of mind my kids are sleeping and breathing well for the materials they are sleeping on/with at night. I also am excited that they will have at least a good 10-15 years in our home and can sleep on these mattresses all the days of their lives in our home. I love that this mattress will last decades.

My husband has basically stopped snoring and our back problems are non existent. It seriously is a dream and we can’t wait to go to bed every night. It holds the temperature of if I get out of bed in the middle of the night and it is extremely warm (winter here in denver). It is very thin and not what we thought would be amazing yet it is AMAZING!! It’s an investment and we are thankful we made it for our family.

We also did our bed with the mat, the mattress, the wool protector and the wool comforter and it’s literally a dream.

I’ve owned a Shepherd’s Dream bed for 7 years. It’s a very nice wool bed. I can’t compare it to other wool beds because you know they aren’t exactly very common. Would I recommend a wool bed as a stand alone product? No. We use it as a mattress topper, it’s too hard to use separately. We’ve had two adults use it and two kids, we all agree too hard as a stand alone bed.

I remember when we first ordered the customer service was lack luster but nothing to get riled about. I called today to see their relation to St. Peter Woolen Mill, was polite as usual and damn when I tried to ask the representative it was haunches up sass central. I’ve never actually gotten pissed at a customer service rep before, but her attitude, similar to those at St. Peter’s, was oozing contempt. No one is out to get your secrets or whatever if they ask your relation to apparently the sister company…owned by the same people. It’s okay that you don’t know much, or feel you can’t tell me, but no need to be rude. I literally confronted her about her attitude. So sorry I’ve spent thousands with...

I was looking for a new mattress and found exactly what I was looking for at Shepherd's Dream - an organic natural latex and wool mattress. I did a little research and what a lot of folks don't know is that all latex mattresses are not equal. The latex mattress you could purchase at a box store is not the same quality product as this small store. We ended up purchasing pillows and other natural bedding supplies in addition to our mattress and we're glad we did. We've been sleeping better than we have in years!
