Flowers by Lucas — Local services in Atlanta

On February 23rd 2023, I called Flowers by Lucas all the way from Seattle wanting to have flowers delivered for my sisters birthday who lives in downtown Atlanta. The woman who answered the phone was so impatient; rude and disrespectul and came across as if I was bothering her. She asked me the address; I gave her the address and she immediatley told me that they didn't deliver to downtown apartment buldings; then she told to look at their website; when I decided and call her back and basically hung up the phone in my face.

I was floored at her poor attitude and poor customer service. She doesnt seem to enjoy what she does any longer and it shows...I wished I'd read the reviews before making the effort. The reviews seem aligned with what I experienced as well. I only gave 1 star for her effort to answer the phone and it being the only way that I can leave a post. I almost never leave reviews and decided that I should share my experience with others to find another florist to spend your hard earned dollars with. You deserve good customer service when we choose to give our hard earned money to a business. Be good to yourself, because this florist sure isnt going to be.

Despite the ill treatment from Flowers by Lucas, I didn't give up and was able to find Paradise Floral Design located downtown Atlanta. I was able to get my order placed and delivered all the way from Seattle same day. The service was beyond what I expected with Paradise Floral Design and I can't rant and rave enough about them; they were helpful, the flowers were beautiful; she was thoughtful and partnered with me; I felt like she wanted my business. Mindy was a true Florist and what Im used to.

Please take your business elsewhere and don't waste your time with...

I have never been treated so rudely in my life! If I could give 0 Stars I would. I went in to pick up a corsage for my nephew's date to the prom. I had called ahead and was told that it could be done. She mentioned over the phone that we need to prepay so I just came in because they would be closing in about 2 hours. When we got there she asked for colors. We mentioned that the dress was navy blue and silver. She immediately said I have no navy blue. We said we didn't expect that color and thought that white flowers and silver ribbon would be just fine. She started haphazardly pulling out flowers and throwing them in a bucket. We asked for suggestions and she seemed not to want to help. So I pulled up a few examples on Google of wrist corsages and showed her. She immediately said I do not have those flowers. I again said I was fine with whatever she did and these were just examples. She immediately yelled I cannot help you, goodbye. I asked her why and she said we could not make up our minds. I said I was flexible with whatever she did and that I'm sure she would make it nice. She said no I cannot help you, goodbye. I said why you being so rude? And she went ahead doing something else ignoring us. I then said I've purchased from you in the past and have always recommended this place to other people. She did not care. Then I said I won't be back here. And she said fine. I have never had such a horrible experience...

It’s January 28th I’m a college student down at gsu and I was trying to inquire about some flowers for my gf. I seen this spot on maps but sadly didn’t read the comments. I walked to the flower shop because I have no car with me just to find out the doors were locked. Now it says it’s open on the door and all the lights are on. Could they be on lunch break? Maybe I stood there for a little while and as I started to walk away a lady comes from the back puts her mask on and comes to open the door. She I immediately tell her "Hi, I seen you had Valentine’s Day flowers on your website I wanted to see-" and she cut me off saying "We have no flowers. When you need them" I said "well I would like them February 14th" she then again informs me they don’t have them and I was originally just trying to eliminate having to have them ship me it when my dorms are less than a 5 minute walk away. But I can’t even get it out she says I need to get them online and keeps saying they don’t have them, so in my head I’m like ok maybe the shipping won’t be bad. I leave and go on the website later and flowers are about 47 or 48. After taxes and fees and etc it went from that to 98 dollars. Why is fees and etc as much as the product itself??? I...
