I went forward with a construction loan through Georgias Own, you would think with a name like that and building in Georgia that you would be dealing with people actually in the state of Georgia, but you wont be! What they will tell you right before you close is that they are “forwarding you to their partner” who is Members First Mortgage in Michigan! The lack of communication will frustrate you, they will tell you false information saying things like the appraisal were ordered when they weren’t. You will ask about charges and be told they will be removed that these “arent the final numbers” for weeks, then on closing day the charges are still there and they give an excuse to why they mislead you for weeks. Then on day of closing your attorney will inform you that you are no longer dealing with Georgias own, and now all communication and payments go to Michigan! You then will have no individual contact to help through the year long build process, instead you’ll get a 1800 number to call and a random different person every single time. I Went into the bank requesting a bank check. I was told by the young man I met that they could no open an account with sole purpose of purchasing a bank check. I understood and offered to open an account, funding it, and setting up direct deposit with him present. I was told it was up to his branch manager. When she went into his office you could see her gesturing no. He came back out and claimed I would have to establish a banking relationship prior to purchasing a bank check. There was no assessment of my profession, type of deposit, or what I intended to do with the bank check. The interaction was very reductive and unprofessional. And to ad insult injury they had a vagrant lounging in the lobby during this interaction.

In your Response…your quoting policy without fully reading my concern. I had identification and did not get that far. I was essentially rejected without being correctly profiled. I’m just glad your organization is in a position to turn away business. The other feedback speaks volumes as how this branch...

On 8/4, I went to the Atlanta Rd/Smyrna location, to get bank statements print-outs...which I was told there's a $5 fee, as it was a few minutes before 4pm closing. I was escorted to the ATM @ the branch, and withdrew $20...the young lady that assisted me didn't make it clear...that each months - statements is $5! So I left swiftly, didn't realize I didn't get my change until I stopped @ a restaurant. I called the Customer Service #, as IK they were closed, and spoke to a lady, whereas she emailed and or left a message with Saria.(unsure of spelling). I am very appreciative....that this Financial Institution has really worked with me with my loans. But I don't appreciate the young lady.. per her supervisor once she returned my call, letting me know about the particulars on my $20 and chamge! IK this is trivial but you can't just take it upon yourself, and make a decision for me how to apply my moneys without my acknowledgement!.Going forward please ask and be clear on the activity...
