Eh if you sign up without a trainer it’s not great. Leg press machine was broken for months and trainers don’t always clean up after themselves or wipe down machines. I also have been trying to cancel my membership and nobody will return any emails or calls so I keep getting charged. When I signed up I was not contacted or given any information for terms of service or cancellation procedures as a new member. I actually had to walk in and ask someone putting together furniture (shelves) for a basic rundown of the gym because I never was proactively reached out. I wasn’t even contacted about training for at least a month after joining which makes it seem that this place has no real customer service or operations person. During a workout some trainers are courteous while other will take over areas or be rude as they focus only on their client. I get you have a job and a focus but when you’re standing where I’m trying to workout and don’t even act like you’re disrupting another person’s workout is just a bit rude in my book. At least apologize and say “excuse me” like I would if roles are reversed. Also I do understand wanting a solid stable base through the use of minimalist shoes or even socks, but knowing the gym tends to get dirty by how dusty is is and the sweat on benches; to see staff working out in bare feet is kinda gross. Many times I’ve wondered if the cleaning spray bottles had actual cleaner in them or were just scented water for appearances of being clean.

Read moreI did the week trial here, and while the gym might be a great fit for some people, I personally couldn’t justify the cost. For the price, it lacks many amenities—no showers, no sauna, and not a wide variety of standard machines you’d expect at this membership level.
They only have three power racks, which double as benches. The first couple of times I came (around 6 PM), it was relatively empty and I didn’t have to wait, so I thought maybe the cost made sense. But when I tried coming at 6 AM, I ended up waiting about 30 minutes just to squat because the racks were being used for benching. That really cuts into your workout when you’re on a time crunch before work.
On the positive side, the location is convenient and the equipment they do have is good quality. I’d definitely recommend doing the trial to see if the gym fits your schedule and needs. But for me, it’s hard to pay this much when you have to wait for key equipment and don’t get any extra...
Read moreI’ve been training with Coach Mike Collins for 3 months now and for my first experience with a personal trainer, it’s been exactly what I was looking for and more. He’s been incredibly supportive, accommodating, and motivating in pushing me towards my fitness goals. Having been pretty much a total newbie to gyms, I feel like with Coach Mike’s help I’ve been able to build a confidence and comfort in gym settings now that I’ve familiarizing myself with the many previously intimidating equipment options and how versatile they can be. The Training Collective is a beautiful environment. Its contemporary, serene, and minimalistic ambience make it feel like a unique but comforting place for working out. Never overly crowded, it’s perfect for an introverted person like myself. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to begin their...
