I love PBIP so much! It’s an amazing and energizing full body workout in every class type. The instructors are all so wonderful and welcoming! It’s a fun community to be a part of, I highly recommend giving it a try.
I recently got a notification that this review has received a lot of views, so I wanted to add more details about Pure Barre and why I love it so much. Everything I said above is still 100% true!
One of the things I appreciate most is how versatile the classes are. If you're looking for a traditional barre workout, Classic is perfect—and there are plenty of scheduled times to fit your routine. If you're interested in lifting heavier weights, Define is a great option. The format changes every three weeks, so it stays fresh, and you can push yourself with heavier weights or go lighter depending on how you're feeling that day. For cardio, Empower is where it’s at! It took me a little while to get used to the faster pace, but now I love the energy and how much it pushes me. And when I need active recovery without compromising on a good workout, Align is my go-to—it’s still challenging but in a more restorative way.
Each class has its own purpose, but no matter which one you choose, you’ll build strength, increase endurance, and get closer to your fitness goals.
And I can’t say enough about the instructors—they’re amazing. They’re always happy to help with modifications and create such a welcoming, supportive environment. Please give it a try—you might end up loving it as...
Read moreExtremely disappointing customer service. If you’re the owner of this studio and take the time to respond to reviews, at least have the professionalism to check your class roster before assuming who you’re speaking to. Responding publicly with incorrect information isn’t just sloppy — it’s a bad look for your brand.
To add to that — when we called ahead to say we had missed our turn on the Beltline and were going to be tight on time, your front desk told us clearly: “As long as you are here at 9:30, you’re fine. After 9:30, we can’t let you in.” I walked in the door at exactly 9:30 — out of breath, 15 weeks pregnant — only to be turned away on the spot. Not only is that a failure of basic decency, it’s a clear contradiction of what your staff told us moments before.
For a studio that claims to value “integrity,” you’ve trained your staff to practice the opposite — in both word and action.
And just to be clear: I’ve opened boutique fitness studios and multiple gyms myself. I understand exactly how ClassPass partnerships work, including what flexibility studios can show when they choose to. This wasn’t about policy. This was about poor judgment and poor training.
There are plenty of fitness studios in Atlanta — ones that don’t treat customers like they’re disposable or an inconvenience. I’d suggest trying one of...
Read moreWhen I signed up for a monthly plan, I was told there was a two month commitment and then I could cancel it as needed, and that managing my membership would be a piece of cake through their app. When it came time to actually cancel, however, the app told me I needed to go in person to the studio. When I went in person to the studio, I was told I needed to send a 30-day written notice via email.
By the time I figured all this out, I also learned that the 30 days are a fantasy because it has to be 30 days from when your plan rolls over, so that was in fact 50 days that I was stuck with the membership. I didn’t think I would cancel and be done with, but I definitely did not expect to pay the following month giving 20 days notice. When I was sad by how difficult this process was, I was told that I should have not listened to whatever yap the front desk gave to lure me in, and that I should’ve read and memorized the agreement I signed.
It’s a bummer to end on a sour note because the classes aren’t bad. Some of the teachers actually take the time to look at what students are doing and pace the workout to the music (not all but there are plenty of classes offered).
In short, if you’re looking for a convenient workout and can plan when you may need to stop at least two months in advance, it’s a...
