There were 4 of us ladies that had pedicures and nails done. They did get to us in a timely manner but we also had an appointment. However, that's where the pleasant experience ended. I was never asked which pedicure I wanted and pedicure was sub par. Only one of us was offered anything to drink. The rest of us had to ask. I have gotten these services all over the USA as I travel all the time. One ladies nails are so thick they look ridiculous. Another lady wanted an Ombre colors on her nails. The pink was supposed to match her toes. But when they got to her nails they didn't have the same color to do the ombre after they said they did 🙄 . So she had to settle for a solid color on nails. My nails were taken off and redone. They asked what shape I wanted and I said the same as I had. This happened to be what they call Almond. How was i supposed to know they charge $5 to file that shape 🤬. In the many years I've had my nails done the Almond shape seems easier for them to get each nail to match. The round shape is no extra charge. It takes no more effort or time to file any shape!! Make this make sense!! So 2 days later one of my nails lifts. So I have to make arrangements to come back. I don't live here and would be leaving the next day. Coming back at their convenience is not easy. I called ahead and told them I was on the way. Lynn said they were busy and I may have to wait about 20 minutes. I was OK with that but I could tell she didn't want to be bothered with me. After I arrived she told me she had many clients she had to do before me that I had to be patient. After 40 minutes of waiting she came to me and told me it would be another hour as she had a lady there for her appointment. She didn't mention that upon my first arriving. I also told her at first that if they couldn't get me fixed in a reasonable time then they would have to refund the amount it would cost me to get fixed somewhere else. She said she would ask the client if I could go ahead of her but then she never did. I then asked the lady and she had no problem with it. But then Lynn still refused to fix my nail stating it would take her too long and she wouldn't do it and the refund wouldn't be processed until Monday. At this point I had no trust that this would really happen so I insisted they find someone to fix my nail. She then got another lady to do it by the name of Holly. She claimed Holly was more experienced than her and maybe she was but she didn't have her own table. She did fix my nail and she was very pleasant. However, this salon is way too expensive and does not really care about their clients. The 4 of us spent about $600 in there and to be treated this way to fix their mistake is unacceptable!! When back in this area I will not be back and will tell anyone with me not to go...
Read moreSince I do have time today let me share my story. So I recently found Passion Nails I’ve been about 3 or 4 times with zero problems. They NORMALLY take their time, i felt comfortable, pretty all together good service. I thought phew! Finally a place that doesn’t rush and has good service. That was a complete bust. A little back story. I got my nails done before going to Jamaica my experience was nice a sweet man did a GEL manicure for me and a even sweeter woman did a GEL pedicure. When in Jamaica my foot hadn’t touched an ounce of water or sand when I looked down and my pinky toenail polish was completely gone. Ok weird that normally doesn’t happen to me with gel anything. Once I got back into town I went to Passion Nails to see if I could fix my pinky toe nail and my pinky nail that broke (that had nothing to do with the salon and their work). The manager (guy who stands the entire time with the arm tats) tells me their busy but to sit down and someone will get back to me. So I waited and waited and waited. While I waited 3 different nail techs asked me what I needed. I told them all the same..my pinky toenail and my pinky nail needed to be fixed. Only two things I needed. At this point the salon is closing. Another nail tech asked me what I needed in an irritated tone. Y’all in the midst of me explaining what I needed she walked away. Huh? So I say in my head, “she must not have heard me.” I call her over and say, “excuse me miss.” No response. She comes over again and ask me the same question. I calmly told her that before she rudely walked off before hearing my answer to a question she asked that I need both pinky’s to be fixed. She interrupts me again and yells that she was checking out a customer. I then told her it’s completely fine to check out a customer but it’s rude to ask a question then walk off in the midst of me speaking. YALL this woman waves me off and raises her voice stating, “I don’t want to work with you anymore.” Excuse me work with me? I did nothing to you. At this point my blood is boiling so I ask to speak to the manager (again the guy with the arm tats) I told him what happened and he states, “she must be having a bad day.” I wasn’t offered any type of accommodations to awful service or even an simply apology on her behalf. So I saw all that to say that was the rudest treatment I have ever experienced in an establishment and what made it even worse was how it was handled by her superior. I have never felt so embarrassed to be waved off in front of the entire salon and when voicing my complaint was told HIS employee was having a bad day. It’s unacceptable and unfortunately now an establishment I cannot...
Read moreThe people were nice so I feel bad about this review but if I had known about the experience I would get here, I would not have come here. It was a walk in and I got a standard manicure. First thing I noticed that was off from previous manicures was 1) no dipping my hands in those water bowls. She immediately gets to filing and cleaning the cuticles and then douses my had with some lotion and then covers my hand in a plastic bag (and she reuses this bag for the other hand). 2) filing felt rough than usual but I was too focused on the unsanitary condition of my station, my hands were on top of this green towel that looked like it was 10 years old (and now thinking back about it, I wonder if another person had the same towel and they never switch it out), the filing and cleaning of cuticles were landing on this green torn up towel. 3) she didn't speak English and I had no idea what she asked me 4) afterwards, there was no wiping or cleaning of anything, she just open her drawer and squirted this small travel size lotion on my hand and arms (I felt really dirty and gross) and while she was doing this I noticed throughout the station they had these huge spa like lavender lotion bottles...so were those just for display?? 5) she started buffing my nails then as she painted, there were bubbles 6) she was kind of frugal with the polish 7) her skills was not good, she kept using her fingernails to wipe the sides of my nails that the polish spilled over to (gross) 8) that's when I noticed her nails didn't look clean and put together... 9) instead using those hand fans that you put your hand underneath to have the air blow and dry, she whips out those small desk fans, so the chemical is blowing on my face as my nails are trying to dry 10) that fan was disgusting, it had light brown dirt and dust inside. Afterwards I immediately washed my hands and arms with soap. 11) I didn't realize it at the time but afterwards I noticed she filed my nails square shaped .. my nails were round, why would she file it square shaped?! Why? So now barely 24 hours later, I refiled my nails and ended up just removing the polish. Most of the people in the salon were getting pedicures so maybe that's what you come here for? I would not recommend getting the ...
