I wasted 11 months of my life dedicated to this program. I was almost murdered by having my car shot up and faced some sickness within the last 2 months of this process. Even with them knowing I didn’t have a car they stated I need to get to work and arrive 15 mins early and take a picture of myself daily. My manager was willing to allow me to recover from my sickness as well but within the last month I have been told I have to be exited from the program because “Year Up can’t support me anymore” .. meanwhile they haven’t truly been supportive or empathetic during my most times of need. I’m not sure what support they thought they have given but it was slim to NONE. I joined for the cybersecurity program and out of everyone in that program only about 3 of us gained an internship the rest were left blindsided. Please be aware of these scammers and they play favoritism and will not support you if you really need help unless they favor you. It is a waste of time if your in it for cybersecurity and this program truly is a mind game. For me to waste 11 months of my life to be exited without a good explanation besides “we can’t support you” is truly disgusting and I will be reaching out to higher ups...

They act like they can’t see the program you selected and get upset because you don’t want to attend a orientation that you’re uninterested in. They try to force you to sign up for " an in person information session " to collect your data as proof you were interested so they can continue to get their kickback from the government. Yeah it’s a FREE training program but it’s not worth your self respect. There are other programs with free training and apprenticeships. Ms. Jones is literally the worst ! You would think I was trying to apply for food stamps...
