The food was fantastic and maintains the high standard of food and service that has been established by Aviva's downtown location. Customer service has been outstanding on each of my two visits so far. Aviva is family owned and I've had the pleasure of meeting Kameel's son, Nas, who is often running the midtown location. I highly recommend the rosemary chicken as well as the falafel. You'll have options of 1 main along with 2 sides but so far those two are my personal favs. On Saturday night(5-9pm) they offer a heightened menu with more specialty plates for those looking to impress. They are located in the Coda building which is next to the Georgia Tech's business school. Some street parking is available in front of the Coda building as well as within the parking deck on 4th street in between W Peachtree and Sprint St. Aviva midtown has superb outdoor seating options that can comfortable seat about 30-40 people even when socially distanced. There's also 3 stadium size televisions which are usually tuned into whatever sports games are on. Food is very affordable and a full meal will run around $13-15, main, sides, drink and all. Overall this is a gem and much needed in the midtown area, which has suffered from dwindled dining options due...
Read moreI was intrigued to finally visit this Mediterranean spot after hearing my friend rave about it. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a line of enthusiastic diners, all praising the restaurant's quality. The ordering process is similar to Chipotle, allowing you to customize your meal: choose a base (plate, salad, or wrap), select your protein, and add your desired sides. I was impressed to learn that they use no processed ingredients and cater well to vegans and gluten-free diets, ensuring there's something delicious for everyone. Many diners were raving about the lamb, but I opted for the seafood dish with salmon and grouper. While the flavors were good, I was slightly disappointed by the portion size. I felt it was a bit small for the price. Additionally, the variety of seafood on my plate was limited from what was in the dish. The rice and vegetable sides I selected were also on the smaller side. The service, however, was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly patient, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire ordering process. Highlight: Generous samples of the soup were offered, and the vegetable soup I tried was delicious. Overall: I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return to explore other...
Read moreAviva by Kameel in Midtown serves absolutely delicious food. I knew about them from their food court location downtown that I absolutely love. The standouts for me were the chicken shawarma, baklava, lentils, and the falafel wrap. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better.
But the parking situation left a sour note. Their website promises parking reimbursement at the CODA garage, which was a big reason I felt comfortable driving there. When we arrived a little before 1 p.m., right in the middle of the normal lunch rush, they had already run out of validations for the day. We stayed for almost an hour, hoping they’d resolve it since staff said they were working on it, but nothing changed. In the end, I had to pay the steep garage fee myself.
For such a popular and well-loved lunch spot, running out of promised parking coverage during peak hours feels poorly managed and unfair to customers. The food is worth coming back for, but if you’re visiting at lunchtime, be prepared that you might just have to pay for parking despite what the...
