University of Maryland School of Nursing — Local services in Baltimore

I generally don't post reviews. However, I am posting this one because I had a horrible experience with one of the people working in the registrars office at this facility. I am an ADN registered nurse attending UMSON for my BSN. This is my first semester and I have zero clue what the protocol or policy of this institution is. Anyway, I had a communication issue which I found out was due to the fact that this school corresponds via school email. Instead of the particular young lady I spoke with today offering an apology, she went on to say "We deal with college students. No one should have to tell you to check your school email." I previously attended UMD, I was totally appalled by the unprofessionalism from the professors towards the students. The faculty need serious training on professional behavior. I witnessed faculty scapegoat students, demean them, belittle them, reduce them to tears. If you do not like working with students, please reconsider another profession. Almost a month to get help from an advisor to talk about a program at the nursing school. Tried to calling a few different departments on the main line, no one answered.
