WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER! I experienced so many issues (from the delivery personnel badly scratching up my floors to the furniture being damaged and poorly manufactured, even missing crucial center legs for structural integrity). The sales manager at this store spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner. Upon talking to the owner, the owner assured me that he would work to make things right and also agreed to replace the broken/damaged sectional pieces. He did not! After telling me he would call me with a timeline for the replacement pieces to arrive, he did not do so and proceeded to dodge my calls for weeks on end. I had hoped to change this review and add stars if the issues were resolved. Not a single thing was resolved several months later and several months since corporate La-Z-Boy sent a technician to my home, confirming that the pieces were missing vital center legs for structural integrity, telling me that corporate La-Z-Boy would absolutely replace them under warranty. Escalating this to the corporate level was a similar terrible experience. Someone will always "call you back" however this does not happen within the timeline they give. Plus, they (Corporate La-Z-Boy) directly lied in their correspondence with the BBB and WV attorney general by stating that I did not contact the third party delivery company concerning the damage to my floor. This has been the most stressful purchasing experience I have ever had in my life. I had a warranty that the owner (after agreeing to replace and expedite the replacement) refused to honor while providing no valid reasons for doing so. A warranty is a contract and the owner of this business refused to honor that contract. Corporate refused to honor it as well without providing any reason, given they are still manufacturing and selling this furniture. It makes no sense. I felt forced to involve the WV Attorney General Consumer Protection Department and while that was in mediation, the owner and the third party delivery company that his store and corporate La-Z-Boy hired (the same one that damaged my floors and misleadingly calls themselves "La-Z-Boy Delivery") left pressuring messages on my voicemail, telling me that I need to schedule for them to take my furniture out of my home. The attorney general's office mediated a refund of furniture and compensation from the third party delivery company for the damage to my home. I encourage others with similar experiences to reach out to the WV Attorney General Consumer Protection Department. They are keeping my complaint on file in case a pattern of similar complaints emerges. I had hoped that the owner and Corporate La-Z-Boy would just do the right and reasonable thing here and resolve these issues by adhering to the warranty, replacing this incorrectly manufactured pieces, and compensating us for the damage to our home. That is not the case. We have now purchased furniture from a competitor and will never do business with...
Read moreMy fiancée and I spent close to $11,000.00 on furniture from Lazyboy including custom fabric chairs and throw rugs. Having worked with a high end furniture store for years I know the importance of customer relations. After not receiving any updates on our furniture I placed a call to Lazyboy only to find out that our fabric on our chairs had to be ordered from another factory and that would delay us receiving our furniture. I really don't ask for much, but as a customer it would have been nice to have known this or to at least been given the opportunity to change the fabric or simply accept the delay. I wasn't given a choice at all they made the choice for me. After our furniture had been delivered we never received a call asking how our delivery went and or were we happy with everything. How sad is that. We had also purchased a burgundy custom throw rug ($599.00) upon getting it home we noticed that it had white lines running through it and the edges were starting to curl up. Lazyboy informed us that they would order us a new one. When the new one arrived we drove to the store to exchange the first flawed one with the second one. Not only did it have white lines throughout the entire piece it was PINK, not burgundy. I informed the sales associate that this was not acceptable. She told me that for a custom rug these "small imperfections were perfectly acceptable." Not for me it wasn't. The owner refused to give us a full refund on a flawed rug, charging us a 25% restocking fee. As my fiancée was getting the partial refund the owner cowered in the back room and left his associates to figure out how to complete a refund minus the 25% restocking fee. Great customer service as we were making our purchases, but the customer service went to crap after that. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone. The folks at Ashley were much more hospitable and just down the corner from Lazyboy and offered the same custom rugs and had no issues with returns if not...
Read moreBuyer Beware!! Everyone loves a comfy recliner and many people believe that the LazyBoy brand is the best! I too believed this until I purchased a LazyBoy recliner last October. What everyone needs to be aware of is that even though LazyBoy advertises they have a âgreat LIFETIME service policyâ this ONLY applies to customers who LIVE IN A CERTAIN MILE RADIUS of the store you purchased the furniture! đĄ. Unfortunately, I live 10 MILES OUT OF THE Barboursville, Huntington, WV service area!! In June of 2022, I finally did get okayed for a LazyBoy service person come look at my recliner, and he ASSURED me as he handed me his card that if I had any other issues, âjust give him a call and he would come backâ. WELL GUESS WHAT, he has to be approved by corporate and corporate says weâre out of service area and the recliner was built correctly...forget that THE CUSTOMER says the recliner sits lopsided!!! I told one of the representatives in âCOMFORT CAREâ (thatâs a laugh and a lie) that LazyBoy needs to tell customers up front that if theyâre NOT in the âservice mile radiusâ, they (LazyBoy) will NOT honor service contract, and their response was, âAmen!â âI donât know why they donât tell customers this.â Beware that this is true no matter what part of the country you live in. What happened to INTEGRITY and doing the right thing for the customer? Think twice before purchasing LazyBoy and be sure to check out the service mile radius in accordance with your...
