What a mistake. Pull up to like 4 cars in the parking lot thinking its early so we'll get a seat fast. Hostess ask how many, we have 7 with 4 adults and 3 kids. I don't see or hear any thing going on and no one waiting or checking out. She goes, it'll be 15 minutes? There are 4 cars in the parking lot? We wait 16 minutes and get sat with a total of 4 tables and us. 5 tables being sat in the whole restaurant? 3 to 4 tables are trashed and we are sitting next to one. Order a simple meal (s) and get a little "mouth" from our waitress when my grandmother asked for her coffee to come out with food so her coffee isn't cold even the food comes out. A little more "mouth" when we ask for rolls. Get our kids meals and an adult meal with no silver wear. Waited about 8 minutes to get the rest of the adult meals. While waiting my mom went to get silver wear so the waitress doesn't need to make another trip. More "mouth", she'll bring it when she's ready? The reply. Food is out, silver wear is pretty standard to eat with. I'm trying to understand how this is going so bad. Then we need to ask for spoons because the pre wrapped plastic has no spoons? I'm trying to understand how anyone makes money as a waitress with what we saw today. I'm also trying to understand how a business is running with 5 tables of 3 to 7 people at dinner time. Maybe they are banking on covid money. For as expensive as the world is, we'll go somewhere...
Read moreWhat happened to the quality and food prep? I have not ate at Bob Evans for a couple of years since the one on Kinetic Park was awful, but the Bob Evans at the mall was very the last time I ate there. My husband and I wanted breakfast this morning and thought let's try Bob Evans. What a disappointment. The self build omelet I ordered was really not worth eating since the eggs they cooked in so much grease that I had a pool of it on my plate. The veggies I requested in the omelet was not sauted at all. They just chopped and put it inside the omelet and the cheese they literally took a slice of cheese and laid it top of the omelet! I mean if you don't want to cook please get out of the kitchen! Cheese should have went in the omelet so it could melt in with the veggies to at least help some. Also what is the deal with the sausage links? Why did you change them? I am so sad and disappointed with this franchise that their quality and care has gone so down hill. Please do better....at least you didn't mess up...
Read moreWas our worst experience at a Bob Evans to date. My wife ordered an omlet with hash browns. I ordered an order of biscuits and gravy with coffee. The coffee was so lukewarm that the sugar would not dissolve. Our food also served very low temp. Her omlet had cold chunks of ham in it that were too tough to chew. My gravy was not regular sausage gravy but leftover chicken gravy from the night before. I did mention this to the manager who did the right thing and comped it. I do not believe in wasting food, so we did eat it mostly until my wife threw up. As far as the atmosphere, they sat us at a dirty table that was sticky. The highchair we had for the baby smelt like pee. We had to wipe everything down ourselves with the baby wipes. I could understand if they were busy, but this was at 830am, so theres no reason for anything to be that bad. We would have waited patiently for them to cook the food properly. Anyway, we will be avoiding this restaurant forever now. Best of luck if you choose...
