LINDA CANCELED THREE OF MY APPOINTMENTS AND WOULD NOT SEE ME. I have a condition that causes chronic pain and lipedema. I was experiencing significant swelling and needed help. I found TP Bodyworks via Google, read the reviews, and booked an appointment for the next day at 10:30 am through their booking site.
The same day I booked, Linda emailed to cancel the appointment, stating she had an emergency. However, the appointment Linda tried to cancel was not only for the same day (I booked the next day), but she was canceling at 3:30 p.m. for a 10:30 a.m. appointment, which would have passed. I figured it was a misunderstanding, and Linda told me I was okay to come on my scheduled appointment day.
The following day, Linda called and stated she had another emergency and had to cancel again. This time, I found her cancellation odd as she was the one who had told me when to come in for the massage the second time. Again, I gave Linda the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled again at a time of her convenience. She even offered an extra 30 minutes for the massage, which was great.
The day before my THIRD-booked appointment, Linda called AGAIN and canceled due to an emergency. I started to question her motives. She told me over and over if I did not want to see her anymore, that was okay. I began to feel she didn't want to treat me for some reason. The only reason I can think of is because I am an African American woman. I told her how unprofessional she was and that I did not want a massage from someone who didn't want to treat me.
Linda sent me another email that I have not opened. A professional can only burn me so many times before I'm done.
I hope that Linda hasn't treated her other clients like she treated me—with total disregard for me as a human being. There is no emergency that just so happens to pop up every time I am supposed to come in.
There is no need for a response from Linda. I want others in my position to be aware.

Read moreThis is not about Linda (Ms. Gu)'s technical expertise but rather her behavior and business practices. Aetna introduced her to us as an in-network provider. While she was supposed to file claims on our behalf, she stated that she could not do so due to a lack of staff. We agreed that I would pay the full amount upfront and file claims with Aetna after each visit, which the insurance company confirmed was acceptable.
After several sessions, when I began filing claims, Aetna informed me that Ms. Gu had been charging rates significantly higher than what she had agreed to in her contract with them ($34.30 per session). Despite multiple discussions with both Aetna and Ms. Gu, she refused to adjust the charges or refund the overpayment. Aetna confirmed that she should have charged the agreed-upon rate and reimbursed us the difference. Instead, Ms. Gu introduced terms like "superbill," which seemed misleading and irrelevant and didn't refund us a penny. To make matters worse, she also received payments directly from Aetna, essentially double-dipping.
Ms. Gu, charged me about $2600 while according to her contract with Aetna should have been something like $750. When confronted, she failed to provide a clear explanation or resolution.

Read moreI recently had a tummy tuck and liposuction. My plastic surgeon recommended that I get specialized massages, specifically lymphatic drainage to decrease the massive amount of swelling that occurs after a tummy tuck. I found Linda on the Internet and saw she had the credentials I was looking for. To my shock, amazement, and complete joy, I had complete relief after the very first session. I came home and it was as if an enormous blockage was removed from my system and I felt relaxed, pain free, and like "myself" again. I have continued my work with Linda for over a month and find that I keep getting better and better. Linda also addressed scar tissue that was hardening in the sections where I had liposuction. She was able to work those out and now those areas are soft and pliable. I feel like the world should know that if you are going to have a tummy tuck, you need to see Linda to experience the full effects and benefits of the surgery and to prevent any possible problems. There is a famous Zig Ziglar quote that says "No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care." Caring is Linda's specialty. She makes you feel that HER satisfaction is getting YOU well. I've never had such a positive and amazing experience as I am...
