I am in grief that I am forced to leave this beautiful place only after 3 months of residing here.
It started with music with a subwoofer that goes 24/7 non stop that downstair neighbor turns on. (I guess Kelly read my posts. Thank you for leaving the review here!) I complained almost everyday to the management but they were not really helping. The most sad part was they did not tell me the fact that noise issues have been reported in this unit before I transferred to here due to all kinds DIY noises coming from upstair. They did not tell me where the noise is coming from nor helped me find the source of the noise.
So I had to find the source, but since all floors are blocked it was impossible to find. Really frustrating that my request to visit other floors to find the painful non stopping subwoofer player, they refused it for security reasons. I never feel secure due to all kinds of noises that pierce to my place here though.
Luckily, I got a contact of the previous resident and talked to him. He said he had reported the loud music every week and that was coming from downstair! I never thought music played on the downstair can be delivered so loudly especially because the downstair has very high ceilings. I finally was able to pinpoint the source of noise to the management and requested to stop downstair's subwoofer that goes 24/7. They said the subwoofer reverberations are not detected by their team after 2 visits to my unit so I had to record the diverse loud noises the downstair resident causes.
In the morning she put the volume up to max until my cups in the kitchen cabinet dance with her music. In weekends, she had crazy parties at night over 12am until 3am and after. In the morning around 4-6 am she hammers for 3-5 minutes almost everyday. She howls, yells, cries and fights between 11pm-2am.
Even after I submitted the recordings, management was not able to stop her saying, they cannot take any legal actions to her due to government's non eviction order during pandemic.
I did all kinds of things to stop her from making continuous noises. Wrote cards, put messages on window begging that I am having health issues due to her subwoofer. She called the management and tell them to stop me sending those right after the night she had crazy party!!!
The manager kindly gave me a white noise machine. Of course it did not cover up the subwoofer reverberations nor her party noises but I just turned it on my floor to bear the noises and the downstair came out to her huge patio and threw her basket ball to my window. She never turned the subwoofer down even though she didn't like the white noise. She couldn't hold it for just a few hours and threw the basketball but she was not reluctant to torment me with her subwoofer 24/7 just for her pleasure! How did I stop her basketball playing? By putting security cameras near my window. She saw them and stopped. That day, I decided to move out!
After a few days, I saw dark smoke coming up from downstair! I thought she overcooked and brought the pot out, but the smoke never stopped for several hours until the smoke filled up my place. My eyes got hot and red and painful to breathe! I wasn't even able to open the window because she put the furnace right under my window deliberately! I called police but they did not take it seriously so I had to try to pour water to her furnace. Thankfully she called police and the police came to my place, figured out how severe it was and stopped her!
I can't put all the episodes here but anyway, management must have felt painful as well to hear my everyday complain and let me break the lease since they are not able to evict the downstair who owns the unit as a condo.
I loved Bravern but for the love, I got my ears damaged, chronic headaches, vertigo and extreme anxiety due to all the diabolic torments I experienced first time in my life and have to pay over 4-5 thousands for the 2 recent moves in 3 months. I am writing this in the immortal subwoofer vibrations.
All the noise and harassment videos is on the YouTube channel...
Read moreI have lived at the Bravern for two going on three years and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I had been hesitant about moving in because of the price point, however - after living here for a few years, I do think the price is justifiable. First and foremost - everyone from the leasing manager, to the leasing agents, to the concierge, to the maintenance team has been such a pleasure to work with and have been extremely accommodating to my husband and I.
Our lease was up recently and we were thinking of moving to a different place with more space, but when things fell through and we had decided to stay at the Bravern - Alan and Shamaar went above and beyond to make sure that we reached a conclusion that my husband and I felt comfortable with. They made special accommodations for us to help us move into that new unit and I cannot even begin to say how grateful I am to both of them for taking a load of stress off of me!!! Alan was so patient in working with us as my husband and I went back and forth, emailing him often to get a gauge on rent pricing. Shamaar squeezed us in last minute to give us a tour of some units and was patient with us as we played around with some numbers for our new apartment. He was knowledgeable about the property and never made us feel pressured to make a decision - which I really appreciated.
The concierge team - Thea is the best!!!!! She literally brings so much joy into my day, and every time I come downstairs - I get excited when she is there. She is so personable and is such a huge asset to the concierge team! Colin and Marcus are great as well - they are friendly and such a great addition to the concierge team! When we were out of town, my husband had packages come in that needed extra care and Marcus was patient as we sorted through the various packages on the phone to ensure our packages were there / taken care of. Shaila who is no longer apart of the concierge team was also so amazing!!!! Basically, any one they hire as part of the concierge team has been such a pleasure.
Maintenance - also so great to work with. Any maintenance request that comes through gets addressed so quickly! Also this is such a small thing for me, but they are also so mindful of our apartment. I am a shoe-off household and they always ask if we would like for them to take our shoes off. Alex (I think is his name?) and Mariano worked with us time and time again to fix our ice machine and he would always keep me updated when I ran into him because that took a few months to sort out. I appreciated their candor with this issue that took more time than usual and also their willingness to accommodate to me by giving me access to the downstairs room that is usually locked so that I continuously get ice while they sorted out my ice machine.
Phew that was alot - but as you can see, every single team I've encountered at this property is phenomenal. In addition to the people I have worked with, I do genuinely enjoy my apartment. While it is not the modern style that people (including myself) go for currently, I do think they do a great job at maintaining the property that makes it worth it. The appliances are great with sub-zero fridges and Wolf stove / oven. And there is central AC, which coming from the south - is a must for us.
This has been hands-down my favorite apartment I have ever lived at. 100/10...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the Bravern Apartments and I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the experience.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff who made me feel right at home until our agent arrived. The concierge host even provided us with valuable insights about the area, which was especially helpful since we are from Dallas and know very little about Bellevue or Washington. She also introduced us to the best bubble tea on Earth!
The leasing agent, Shamaar Thomas was exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions, making sure I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision.
We started with tours of the amenities, followed by the apartments. The fitness center was well-equipped with state-of-the-art machines, perfect for staying in shape without having to leave the building. The rooftop terrace offered breathtaking views of the city and looked like the ideal spot to relax or entertain friends. The lounge areas and meeting rooms were cozy and inviting, especially the garden patio area!
The apartments themselves were stunning. The open floor plan made the space feel incredibly spacious and inviting. The kitchen had a modern feel. The natural light streaming in through the large windows made the whole apartment feel warm and bright. The location of the complex is also fantastic, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. Most importantly, it is close to my job! Despite being in such a central location, the apartment complex felt like a peaceful oasis away from the city.
Overall, my visit to the Bravern exceeded all of my expectations. I was thoroughly impressed with Shamaar â his personality, candor, professionalism, helpfulness, and recommendations made for an exceptional tour experience. Moving to a new state is intimidating, but touring with Shamaar made me feel right at home. He took his time, was patient with all of my questions, and âsoldâ me on the place without âsellingâ me. He never pressured me to make a decision. The property sold itself. We visited two other complexes, and they all mentioned the Bravern as a ânoteworthy competitorâ, and rightfully so! The hospitality alone is worth more than a thousand words!
I highly recommend scheduling a visit if youâre looking for a new homeâyou won't be...
