@koberestaurant_bellevue - unfortunately, you didn’t quite hit the spot and fell flat! Food: Shoyu ramen was a flavorless letdown - felt like noodles in watery broth with a splash of soya sauce. Had to beg for hot sauce to add some flavor. Toppings were a miss too - got a fully boiled egg and raw tofu when I was hoping for half boiled egg and cooked tofu. Complimentary miso soup was equally underwhelming. BUT, the complimentary salad was a highlight! Silver lining: the Saporo draft beer was a lifesaver! Service: major struggle - server’s English was nonexistent, took 5 attempts to order tofu as a topping. Menu knowledge? Nonexistent. Ambiance: nice vibe, Asian music and visuals were on point. Maybe stick to the beer next time? 2/5 stars #KobeBellevue #RamenFail #FoodDisappointment #ServiceStruggles #BellevueEats #RamenLovers #BeerSavior #RamenDisaster #FoodLetdown #food #love #foodie #Bellevue #Seattle

Kobe is an Asian fusion restaurant that has Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other Asian influenced foods. Their menu is quite large because of the options too. Parking around here is usually in a garage for shopping malls. Inside they have about 2 dozen tables and some bar seating to watch the sushi prep. The staff are super nice and food comes out very quickly. Prices are a bit high (not Bellevue high though) but portion sizes are good. The taste is pretty good as well. Teriyaki is always a solid choice but their sushi is decent too. Overall a great place to get a lot of different types of foods. They have a Ramen eating challenge where you can win $100 gift card if you wat it in a half hour, but have to pay $50 if you give up. Being someone who can eat a lot of food in one sitting, I'd say I probably can't win this challenge so be weary out there.

Best soft tofu kimchi stew I’ve ever had. I loved the sushi however I feel the sushi rice seemed just slightly stale or I guess. Not as moist? Wet? Just a little dry for the salmon and tuna sushi. The rolls were really good even though me and my cousin accidentally ordered practically the same rolls. That was our fault. The cheesy Tteok-bokki personally for me was a little sweeter than expected but still really good. Friend had the bulgolgi bento box and said he liked it. They served us miso soup and a salad in the beginning. The miso soup tasted good and refreshing. The salad was also good however I felt the dressing could’ve been a bit better. The staff were really sweet and very attentive. Overall I would definitely still come back again to try the other foods!

Huge turn off for the experience! Such a bad customer service. I had placed an order on yelp for four items. After a bit of waiting and exploring their menu on yelp I realized that the pricing on the items was different two of the four items had a higher price on their takeout menu rather than regular yelp many (see pics attached). After I contacted Grubhub about it they gave Restaraunt a call to research the issue and the girl that handled the phone didn’t have an explanation. From that point on they gave me a terrible treatment. The girl would call out all to go orders except for mine, which she threw on the counter silently. She also slammed menus on the counter next to me so hard that I was startled. After I checked the bag at the front desk I realized none of the orders had side salads that were supposed to be in the bag. Later on I decided to call and speak with a manager (which by the way the front desk didn’t even know the “American” name of to tell me) she promised that I could get a free order next time. I really wanted to give them a chance since the manager lady was very apologetic and tried her best. However, now that I called in to get the food, the man on the phone casually asked for me to order my food after six pm when the manager will be in store. It is upsetting as their food is great, however, I think I can find a different place to get food from from now on! I was a regular and if these guys don’t change something they won’t stay in business for long as they will loose...

UPDATE: My significant other and I have now found a staple in our food twice and will never get Kobe again.

I ordered sashimi and shrimp fried rice from this restaurant. Having eaten at this restaurant before, my expectation was fairly set for the quality of their dishes, but the displeasure in my meal was enough for me to want to leave a review.

My first issue with the sashimi was that it was not fresh-tasting, and it had a sort of unpleasant, rubbery texture. It seemed like maybe it had been sitting out all day, like at one of those conveyor belt sushi restaurants. It was also not cut well. The pieces were very thick and shaped oddly. I love sashimi, so I’ve eaten it at a lot of restaurants with a lot of different qualities, and this was definitely some of the least enjoyable sashimi I’ve ever eaten. On top of that, the ginger was not fresh, and they did not provide any soy sauce - which was baffling to me. This is not a strictly Japanese restaurant and I think it shows in their sushi.

The disappointment was not over with the shrimp fried rice. It tastes very good, but the shrimp was not deveined. To me, that’s gross and it killed my appetite a bit. The green beans, corn, and cubed carrots are also an odd choice for fried rice.

I’ve had yakisoba here in the past, and it was pretty good. If you want to eat mediocre Pan-Asian cuisine, this restaurant fits the bill. It’s not bad, and it’s...

I've reported this place to King County Public Health and have been informed they will receive follow up inspections. Some of the waitresses at this establishment have a bad habit of licking their fingers to grab things while handling your food including bagging your food to go. The first time I noticed this I reported them to King County Public Health and received a response informing me they will receive inspections and that their waitresses have been talked to by the owner. I wanted to give them another chance and a few weeks later what did I see? A DIFFERENT waitress performing this same disgusting habit, I asked to speak to the manager and was told she's not working today. I've reported them to King County Public Health again and have yet to receive a response. If you go to King County's Public Health website and search Kobe Fusion Asian Restaurant's inspection records, within the last couple of years you'll find many unsatisfactory inspections for various reasons including an unsatisfactory result on their very last inspection. I don't know when they'll get the hint that THEY'RE DEALING WITH...
