If you’re on the hunt for the best espresso martini in Boston, stop searching—Broadside Tavern is the spot. I’ve tried espresso martinis all over the city, and nothing comes close to the one here. It’s bold, smooth, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. You can tell they take pride in every pour. Beyond the martini, their espresso itself is on another level—rich, aromatic, and the ideal afternoon pick-me-up or after-dinner closer. Whether you’re starting your night or winding it down, Broadside hits all the right notes. The vibe is elevated yet welcoming, and the staff makes the whole experience even better. You feel like you’re in on Boston’s best-kept secret. Perfect for a night out with friends, a date spot, or just treating yourself to a top-tier drink. Can’t recommend this place enough—Broadside Tavern is that place for espresso lovers.

Quiet, friendly bar for someone travelling alone. Took a weekend trip to Boston on my own and chose this place near to The Dagny hotel based on its reviews - it was great. There are plenty of booths, and lots of bar seating. I don't enjoy sitting at the bar, but the server was more than happy to seat me at a booth. He was very friendly and kept checking on my beer level (I had the Sam Adams seasonal Oktoberfest which was great... when in Rome!). I had the "Irish" curry and rice for food which was tasty. I sat around 5pm on a Friday so it wasn't too busy, and there were always booths available. They had sports playing on the TV which gave it a nice atmosphere. I recommended this place whether you're alone or not!

My husband and I had dinner at Broadside Tavern since we were staying next door at The Dagny Hotel due to the convenience of its proximity. We were seated almost immediately and requested to be put somewhere away from the door since it was so cold outside and the hostess gladly did so. Our waitress was sitting in the booth behind the one we were placed at having personal conversations with the bartender and some of the customers at the bar and she took her time coming to greet us and taking our orders. Luckily, we weren’t in a hurry but it did make it feel as though our business wasn’t super important. Once she waited on us, she was very personable and courteous, however. My husband and I both ordered the clam chowder and it was amazing! I think I could’ve only eaten that and left full and happy. We did order the steak sandwich and Reuben as our entrees. The Reuben was tasty and flavorful and the French fries were crispy and well seasoned. My husband said the steak sandwich was cooked well and easy to eat, but could’ve used some type of sauce or other seasoning. He really liked the soft bread it was on. The atmosphere is nice as long as you understand it’s a bar and the patrons may get a little noisy. I would definitely eat there again and would make sure I ordered the clam...
