ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2016: (see below for update) How unfortunate you have to give at least one star. I bought a pair of moccasins here 2 days ago, got them home and realized that they wouldn't fit over the orthotic I have to wear on my right foot due to my Multiple Sclerosis. I was going to spend a week or so stretching them, but a family emergency came up, and altho I love Minnetonka, I figured I'd return this pair since I'd not even taken them out of the box yet, and use the cash to help my son with an unexpected financial crisis. It never once occurred to me there would be a problem!! I explained the situation to the female clerk, who pointed out the nearly hidden "all sales final" sign. I asked to speak to the owner. He was incredibly rude and condescending. With his attitude, I feel an obligation to warn folks not to subject themselves to this man's attitude. There are at least 5 or 6 other places in the Branson area that sell the merchandise he sells, but without the shoddy tactics and lack of business sense.
AUGUST 18, 2017 UPDATE: I was out shopping in old downtown Branson last week, and as I walked past this shop, a young family was hurrying out the door, closely followed by the irate owner shouting "you tried on five pairs of shoes, you NEED to buy one, you wasted my time!!". Mom & kids were in tears. Dad was calm but upset. Why is this place still in...
Read moreI purchased a Pouchee purse on April 23, 2017 for $98.63. Within a month it was falling apart - the seams were tearing and the straps were coming unraveled - absolute junk. I called and was told all sales are final. The owner did offer to exchange for another item in the store, but I need a purse, not a T-shirt. We filed a dispute with Chase and they issued a temporary credit, so we returned the purse to Cowboy Creed. The merchant challenged the dispute saying 'all sales are final' (even on junk that falls apart in a month) and we are now charged $98.63 AND don't have a purse.
I can see 'all sales final' for tourists - they buy a John Wayne T-shirt, get back to the hotel and realize they will never wear it and want to return it. But this was not an impulse buy, and it fell apart (and was not abused), and we are not tourists, but regular customers (I have bought several hundred dollars worth of clothes from this store - and even recommended it to many friends who ask about the clothes).
The 'win-win' would have been for the merchant to return the defective product to his supplier for a refund and provide me with a refund - I'd be happy, he's covered, and I would continue to recommend Cowboy Creed to my friends. But now I'll tell my friends not shop here as this merchant sells defective merchandise and refuses to provide any recourse for the customer, even...
Read moreStopped by this store to look at a necklace for my wife. Me and my daughter's where shopping My two daughters had ice cream so I told them to stand inside the door, but by the door, don't come into the shop with their food. I wanted them by the door so I could see them still and not have them standing on a busy sidewalk by themselves. I walk maybe 7 ft to the cabinet with the jewelry, when I hear a woman scream "get out of her, get out of here now, with that". I look over and see a woman chasing my two kids out onto the sidewalk and told them to stay out. Um no no no, you don't tell my kids or any kids for that matter, to go out into a crowed public street by themselves when they clearly just walked in with an adult you could have approached and asked to have them leave. Very unacceptable, very rude, and very unprofessional. First time in, last time in as well. It may not matter but hopefully it opens whomever she was eyes to see you can't treat people like dirt lady. Learn to deal with people, they where no where near your products nor was causing any harm. And you lost a pretty good sell that day. Also she never said one word to me, at all,...
