Branson is truly fortunate to have this gem! Small businesses are struggling, today. Without local support, we will all suffer when we lose the great personalized attention to detail and customer service that people like Chris (owner), are able to provide. I heard about The Spice Agent all the way in TX (word is getting around) and found their website easy to navigate and inviting to the reader. When contacted, the owner dropped everything to make my order his top priority. He made me feel as if I was the only customer that mattered, in a moment in which he was undoubtedly busy. Despite my considerable distance, my order was completed, boxed, and shipped with expedited shipping, on the very same day. The owner communicated with me throughout the delivery process and even included a personalized, hand written note of appreciation. Sadly, customer service, like this, died away, years ago. If all businesses operated, as The Spice Agent does, with a "customer above all else" attitude, we would all want to shop locally and support our communities. The owner blends and creates his own seasonings and can guide you to pick what you will most likely love. We love the ranch and the burgers and fries the absolute most BUT there is a pretty delicious KC BBQ Rub that is phenomenal! The seasonings can be used on meats, veggies, potatoes, in dips.... Read moreWe went in to find some premium peppercorns. We asked the owner a question and both my wife and I noticed how annoyed he seemed. If you are a specialty shop that sells top end merchandise then customer service and education about your product should be a main focus. We purchased a little $5 item just to keep from walking out without anything. He even complained about his customers using credit cards. He should not complain to his customers, either take credit cards or don't. All I can say is rude and arrogant. I will say that we did find a different shop that was great and the customer service made you want to buy more, so we were happy to give the other shop...
