Natural Retreats - Summit County — Local services in Breckenridge

This January was our family’s third Colorado ski vacation staying at the Powder Ridge Chalet. Our party of six enjoyed everything about our weeklong stay in Breckenridge. Starting with the 5-Star quality of the Chalet, a modern 3-bedroom / 3-level house that is well decorated and equipped with everything you will need. A nice surprise, since our last trip, were some renovations, e.g., new wood floors on the main level, updated fireplace and large flat screen TV in the Great Room. The layout highlights include a big outdoor spa with views of Breckenridge’s slopes and a lower floor with a complete “second family room” that offers extra privacy for anybody that wants a quiet reading spot or another place (other than the main floor Great Room) for the kids to watch a movie. The kitchen is well stocked and strong Wi-Fi throughout the house was appreciated.

Once you figure out the cool short-cut at the end of the street, the Chalet’s location provides easy walking access to Breckenridge’s historic downtown. Plus the Chalet is next to a local free shuttle stop so you literally walk outside the Chalet, catch the shuttle then it’s only a 5-minute ride to the base of Peak 9 and the Beaver Run Superrun Chair drop-off.

During our stay it snowed off and on the entire week, so the Chalet’s one-car garage came in handy. There is also room for two cars out front, if needed. After it snowed we had no problems on the local roads, easily getting to the main streets.

We have stayed in numerous home rentals in Summit County over the years and this home has it all! We would highly recommend this home to anyone that is looking for top notch accommodations and location. The home is nestled in Shock Hill with beautiful views of the mountains and conveniently located steps away from the Gondola. The home is immaculate, gorgeous and meticulously cared for. I think it is difficult to capture everything this home has to offer in pictures as when you first walk through it you get the WOW factor. The home is very spacious and is very well suited for large families and couples. Everyone has their own space and the living room/kitchen is the main gathering area. It has first class upgrades throughout from heated floors, appliances, motorized blinds, steam shower, hot tub etc. The home is well stocked, and the kitchen has everything that you could imagine and then some. It was fantastic to have everything labeled in areas, so you knew where things were. Also, there is a book with abundance of information of the town and places to go etc. Very nice to have if you are not familiar with Breckenridge as this town has so much to offer. After a long day of skiing it was great to come back and sit on the balcony with a drink and watch the sun set over the mountains then off to the hot tub. Perfect vacation!!! Book Breck is fabulous to work with and everyone is so pleasant and...

We had an awesome week over New Year's at 301 B High Street Chalet. The home was tastefully decorated, incredibly well stocked with cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies, some family games and humidifiers for each bedroom. We were very comfortably in this 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home with 2 families to make a total of 8. The bedrooms are spacious and the laundry room is a separate room completely. The Chalet has an absolutely perfect location to walk to Main Street, to many restaurants and there is a grocery store just two blocks down the street. And there was plenty of room to park our two cars which pretty much stayed there while we walked everywhere since it was so easy. The free ride shuttle service was very convenient to get to and from the Gondola. We were also very impressed with Book Breck services. Booking was easy and response time always very quick. We had a couple of things that came up while staying at the chalet and again, Book Breck reacted very quickly to take care of any issues. The binder of info at the house concerning the house and the area of Breckenridge was incredibly useful and well organized. Everything was labeled clearly throughout the house which simplified matters a lot.

We highly recommend Book Breck and the High Street Chalet and will consider booking through them again...
