As a vegan who is a huge supporter of vegan restaurants and especially piante through the years Iām sad to post this. This restaurant has severely gone downhill both in its ownership and itās service to its people. Last time we went to it there was a guy managing the entire place (because one of the owners fired all of the previous amazing employees we used to have!) by himself and extremely upset so we felt for him were patient when he threw our pizza outside across the sidewalk from frustration with his position (which we consoled him with) and we were given poor service but didnāt complain once. He then charged us for every single bit of the price and it was the worst service we had ever gotten at a restaurant and had cold food the entire time. It was safe to say it was a sad way to celebrate my husbands bday. Literally cold pizza. Then we went today there was a new manager who was extremely unfriendly to us the entire time and then he overcharged us for food items we didnāt even order . We tried being nice to him but he obviously wasnāt having it. I used to be obsessed with this place but the quality of food and the cheese used has gone downhill as well and the rude management led us to the decision of never coming back. If it keeps going like this I donāt see them making it so fix your situation if you want...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePiante is always such a nice treat! They make everything in house which gives it a unique taste you canāt find anywhere else. Iām always shocked at just how cheesy their cheese is- I suspect alchemy! Personally I skip their ranch as itās got a sweet taste but obviously not needed anyway with such bomb pizza! Garlic knots are on point, their Caesar salad is to die for. Cocktails are unique and interesting. Our favorite pies are the Buffalo Soldier, El Jefe, Whereās the Meat?, and BBQ but I can honestly say theyāre all so good. Building your own pizza is a foolās errand- the prebuilts are cheaper and these are the experts weāre talking about! Iām honestly glad itās a bit of a drive from me because otherwise Iād be here at least once a week. Their āparmesanā is also unreal! Service is usually laid back and casual, sometimes bordering on neglectful but you wonāt care once you have this pizza I promise. CALL AHEAD or check Instagram for hours as this is a family-owned and operated business and sometimes things happen! Love love love this place, their food deserves all the stars and the owners are so very nice. Open kitchen is a nice touch as you can watch your pizza cook in the oven. Parking can be tricky at peak hours but GPS takes you right to the paid lot behind the restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I shared a small Piante Salad, but next time I would take the Caesar Salad, I personally didnāt like the veggies in the salad, they didnāt taste fresh - the lettuce and the crumbs are delicious. Itās a really big size for a small salad, I liked that. My husband ordered the Margarita with extra Shiitake bacon and I ordered the Peperoni. Side note: I am a vegan for 10 years and I never had substitutes for pepperoni or any other āslicesā. I usually only have veggies on my pizza. So it was my first, but I really wanted to try it. We liked it very much. The sauce is really good and juicy, the pepperoni and the bacon and basil were good, as well as the cheese, but it could be more cheese for my taste. The crust is good, but it was not the best I ever had.
The soft drinks do not come with refills only the water (which, as a European is not really good, but thatās all over the U.S.).
I was full but couldnāt resist a dessert - I had the NY style cheesecake. I didnāt like it though.
The prices are pretty high. I mean they have gone up in general also due to inflationā¦
