CAUGHT THEM ON A VERY BAD DAY. SEE PHOTOS! Came here because of the good reviews, leaving one because of how incredibly bad the service and food was. I was spending the day in Breck over the weekend. I love Vietnamese food and was excited to rest for a couple hours in a place with good reviews of food, service and atmosphere. When I walked in there was another customer in front of me. The waitress took them down the stairs and seated them. After a couple of minutes she looked up at me from the bar and said, ‘what do you need?’ Confused by her question I stated that I was here for food and to have a seat.... So she told me to sit at the bar. I had hoped to stay for a couple hours to kill some time and enjoy the atmosphere.... So I asked if I could sit at a table instead. She let me and handed me a glass of water as I left the bar and went to my table. The glass she gave me was filthy dirty. There were fresh lip prints on the glass that I was able so smear (see pics). After about 15 minutes of being ignored and watching he help most everyone else, including a couple of customers who came in after me, I went up to her at the bar and had to ask her to take my order. She did and at the time I told her about the dirty glass too. She gave me a new one but never refilled it. I had to get up and ask her to refill it when I needed it. When I got my first item of food, the Spring Rolls, the rice paper was hardened and old. The whole roll it’s self was room temp and very very not fresh. See pics. I picked off the crunchy dried up parts of the rice paper and ate as much of it as I could. When she brought my second item, Bhan Mi, the bread was toasted so much that it just crumbled everywhere. I ate as much of that as I could too but didn’t get far. I really wanted to get up and walk out because it was such a bad experience, but I paid the $19 bill and left a $2 tip. I will never recommend or return to...
Read moreMy wife and I had dinner at Peak of Asia on December 10 and it was an outstanding experience. First off, Peak of Asia was recommended to us by several locals which is always a good sign, as they know the tourist traps versus the places to get quality food. This definitely proved true regarding Peak of Asia. The food was outstanding, as was the atmosphere, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. We had the shrimp and avocado spring rolls as an appetizer and they were excellent, the two rolls had generous portions of shrimp and avocado, and were obviously freshly made. They were so delicious we had a second order, something we rarely do, but we couldn't help ourselves. We each then ordered pho, my wife had the chicken and I had the seafood. Like the spring rolls, our pho was delicious. The broth was very flavorful, the ingredients fresh, and the serving size too large for either of us to finish. Plus no MSG, which we really appreciated. We both agreed it was the best pho we've eaten, which is saying a lot because we eat it regularly at various restaurants in the Denver area. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we enjoyed our dinner, and she is a delightful woman who obviously takes great pride in the quality of food she serves. It was refreshing to talk to a businesswoman who seemed so sincere about providing outstanding food and service, and who was legitimately interested in feedback regarding our dining experience. Finally, the restaurant had a very nice selection of on-tap beers, which is always a plus. We will definitely return when we are back in Breckenridge and we highly recommend this restaurant if you looking for fresh, delicious...
Read moreafter a day of sledding and building snowmen, we came over to find somewhere to eat. since my wife is vietnamese, peak of asia sparked interest in her. our whole family loves asian food so we decided to pull up. once we did it, exceeded my expectation. the staff was very amiable, compassionate, considerate, courteous and friendly. in all my time at different restaurants, i have never found one like this. the food was not only exquisite, but heavenly. the flavors never failed to satisfy my taste buds. the place was spotless. the decorations brought the whole place to life, from all the plants, to the water fountain and then the beautiful crystal dragon. in all honestly this has to be the best restaurant i have ever experienced. if i could i would definitely rate this spot a 10 out of 5. frankly this place deserves that rating. i know i keep being repetitive saying its the best place i’ve been to, but with how good it is the amount of times i say that will never do it justice. if you stop by i swear you will never be...
