I will agree with other reviewers that these are the best street tacos in Breck. (Definitely try the cashew salsa!) This review is based on the service my friends and I received there yesterday.
We are all locals and several of them go to Sanchos quite regularly. That being said, everyone came away disappointed.
I arrived first and went to the stand to get my name on the list. There was one person in front of me. We waited more than 5 minutes for someone to come by. Wait staff came and went, bartenders looked in our direction, and still we stood there for a very long time without being acknowledged. (Pro tip: always go online to get your name on the list.)
I went to the bar to wait for my friends and for our table to be ready. I ordered a beer that came in a very frosty glass (beer aficionados, you know what that means!), but still seemed to warm up rather quickly. But I didn't really pay attention. This will become relevant in a minute.
We got to our table and I ordered another beer. Again, it came in a very glass and again it seemed to warm rather quickly. I figured I was just chatting and drinking too slowly. So when I ordered my third beer (no, I was not driving!), it came in a glass that was NOT frosty and the beer was room temperature, so I sent it back. I then got this excuse that the keg had been sitting out and not fully cooled yet. Pointing out that I had been drinking the same beer for the past few and that they were not room temperature, then the waiter told me that they had run out of frosty glasses, so it was going to be warm.
So let me get this straight: you are a bar. It is a Thursday night (which is nowhere near the busiest night of the bar week) and you can't keep cold glasses stocked nor can you properly manage your kegs. Sounds like a lot of excuses to me.
In addition to my issues with the beer, others at my table had problems. Our waiter was slower than slow. We would order drinks and then it would be 15 minutes before they showed up. One of my friends ordered a frozen margarita. She waited for a good 15 minutes and then we heard the bartender going around telling the wait staff that frozen drinks were 86-ed. So she got the attention of the waiter and asked where hers was and it appeared that he had totally forgotten to put her order in. He brought her what appeared to be the glass of frozen margarita that was used to determine the frozen drink thing no longer worked. Again, more excuses.
I have eaten here a few times and the service was never great any of those times. But this visit was just a...
Read moreWent here on Tuesday, March 9th around 7pm. We were told that there was an hour to 90 min wait. We were added to their waitlist, ordered a drink from the bar, and let the host know that we would sit outside. It was a cold night but we layered up and enjoyed our margs while we waited. About 45 mins into our wait we started seeing tables turnover. Two groups of people walked in and asked to be sat and they sat them in front of us. One group was told that there would be a 30 min wait and when they walked out the host ran out after them and said, wait, we can actually sit you now. Then walked the guests in right past is and sat them down, joking about how lucky their timing was. They were able m to push together two tables to get them in. I walked in after them and asked why they are sitting new guests before us. The host looked surprised and asked, have you been sitting outside the whole time? Then he said that he was sorry but they were doing the best that they could. They’d get us sat right away. We were cold and angry so we left and won’t be returning to this establishment. We live seasonally in Silverthorne. This was the worst service that I’ve encountered in Summit. Margs were ok and bar staff was nice. That’s why I...
Read moreIt was our first time tonight going to this cute little place, we met some friends there for some margaritas and food.
I thought the margaritas were pretty good but they were pretty small for the price. Brena Was the only bartender tonight and I can’t believe the amount of drinks that she was putting out, She was a factory all in her self.
We started off with some salsa, guacamole and chips. It was all just OK, I think everything we ordered tonight could of had better flavor and seasoning, even the guacamole could of been better by adding some salt, that could’ve helped it a lot.
The hostess was nice, I wish I would’ve got the name of our waiter he was nice as well. I love love love that when we were ready for our check, our waiter showed up with his little machine right at the table and swiped my credit card right there. That Is so European and I wish all restaurants could take on that concept.
I WOULD Recommend this cute little place but I do have to warn you it gets very busy and it is...
