My husband and I went to Breckenridge for our anniversary recently and decided to do escape rooms. We loved breckeBrecke escape rooms and wanted to give this a try. We did the Sasquatch room and it was the worst room we have ever done and we have done 15-20 escape rooms. It started Rocky. We get into the room and immediately found an item. The person watching comes it, grabs it out of my hands, outs it back and closes it saying I shouldn't have found that. She messed up resetting the room. We we're however the first appt that day. Just after that, we never found anything and was stuxk. We didn't know how to receive hints so we just called to the cameras. No hints came. We look around for a little longer then call again. Nothing. Call again to the cameras. Nothing after about 5 calls to the camera, she comes in with a walky and says this is how you get the hints. The room isn't laid out well in the case where when you find something, it should lead you to a lock or something else to find a lock. This room wasn't like that. It was the worst rroom.Unfortunately we had also booked avalanche and couldn't cancel without losing money. So later we did avalanche. That was better. Another group had just booked the room so we had to work with them not quite what we wanted but it's always a risk. You are told before entering not to move furniture. I found and unlocked a piece of furniture. Continued on. The other members actually moved it and found something. If the rule is to notove furniture you shouldn't have anything behind it. Also the hints need to be more helpful. Saying solve the chess board is not a hint. Neither is you don't need to know how to play chess, follow what's on the back. We had already did that. And continuing to repeat you don't need to know how to play chess not helpful.
Frankly I would not go back to this place. The other escape room in Breckenridge is better not to mention frisco...
Read moreOverall the room we did was fun and we were finishing at a fast pace. My only frustration is we ran into some technical issues, and when we asked for help the employee just kept giving us the same clue. We tried explaining over the walkie what was happening but she kept saying “you need to do it faster”. It was a group of 6 of us and we got it to the point where we were able to complete the task in seconds. We still had 26 mins when we were on this task and we tried it every different way. We eventually ran out of time and we asked the lady to show it because there’s no way we weren’t doing it correct. She ended up trying herself and couldn’t do it. She had to call for help and once the second person came he couldn’t do it either. He had to ask us for help in order to actually complete the task with an addition flash light which wasn’t part of the room. We expressed our frustration and they just pushed us along. We asked if we could at least finished and the employee said she could show us the last thing we needed but that it. We felt like we were gypped from the entire experience. There wasn’t an apology or maybe even an offer to come back, and do a different room at a different time. I want to say thank you to Reba for reaching out and asking me what they could have some differently next time. Most company wouldn’t take the time so it really meant a lot that they...
Read moreBy far the worst escape room we have attended, and we've been to a lot! The decoration of the room was pretty cool, but everything else was bad. They weren't ready for us when we showed up and set up the room poorly, and had to come back in to fix the setup after we began our game. We asked for one hint, and they just told us how to solve the step to keep going forward, so not really a "hint." Multiple times throughout the game the worker had to call in on the walkie talkie and explain to us that although we got the clue, we had to do the puzzle a specific way that was not indicated in any way (we had to use a flashlight to shine into a light censor, but specifically on the strobe setting, which was indicated nowhere, so they had to call in and tell us this). This completely ruined the immersion of the game. The clues were also just not great--we finished the game, but several times figured stuff out by just guessing. The workers seemed judgemental both when introducing the game and talking over the walkies, which kinda ruined our fun. Overall, good decorations don't make up for a poorly designed game and unenthused staff. We highly recommend going to Escape Room Breckenridge instead, as their rooms and staff were much more fun...
