Mariah at Flatirons made my experience exceptional!
I ordered a shirt online and had it shipped to my house. When it got there, it was the wrong shirt and the wrong size. I check my order online and I did select the right one.
I happened to be a the Dick's at Flatrions and went up to Mariah to see what the process I could do in store for this mix up instead of waiting on the mail for another few weeks.
It was a Saturday morning and the mall was swamped. I could tell something was amiss with the employees because everyone in every department seemed short-handed that day. The register POS system had just changed and internet was intermit for all devices and computers. I waited a the register and Mariah was able to assist me after a few minutes.
Not only did she verify the product I received was not what was ordered, she went above and beyond to own my issue! She apologized on behalf of Dick's and made me feel valued the entire transaction. They she said she might have the item in the store and we should go get it to exchange it. She walked with me to find the item in the store, after double checking that both registers were able to handle the small line of customers waiting. Her diligence to check with other team members showed me she is not just front line staff, she is a leader for your company!
When we got to the item, it wasn't exactly the same so Mariah took me to a computer and she reordered the piece for me. While the process did take some time with the internet being so intermittent, Mariah stayed engaged and positive in her responses. There was even a person who tried to target women and get pull a fraud scheme with gift cards while I waited and Mariah remained calm, collected and supportive of her team members.
I wasn't sure I truly enjoyed the "new" Dick's but if employees like Mariah are there I will continue to purchase all my goods there.
I also really hope that you recognize employees like Mariah. Her leadership and disposition made me feel valued through every...
Read moreThis is a really good store. I think their normal prices are way to high, but they have a lot of ales and coupons. While I've had a few rude customer service interactions, for the most part my experiences here are very positive. Several times they have gone out of the way to make things rights. As a family we are trying to shop less on-line and the Flatirons Dicks makes that possible. Some times they are understaffed, but if your patient you can eventually get done what you need to. I've also noticed that the stores overall customer service seams to be getting better over time. I bought a pair of Nike basketball shoes for my son and the velcro came detached after 3 months. I didn't have the original receipt and they only keep 90 days of receipts in store POS, so I had to get a copy of the receipt online, it took a couple tries but I eventually got a copy from online customer service and they did a full warranty return at the store. My son was at a basketball camp so it was nice that I was able to do this locally so he had shoes to wear at the camp the next day. ps I also find a Columbia shirt for $23 on their clearance rack that I almost paid $60 for at REI. Also prices are always marked correctly, we often find that items may say 25% off on the tag, but you end up getting them much cheaper at the register. Especially if it's out of season, we bough football cleats that said 25% off on the tag but the rang in at 40%. Also check the Dicks price online, sometimes it...
Read moreWent last minute to get some football cleets and I must say that the young gentleman working went above and beyond to help us out. Great customer service! Unfortunately its rare now days so it was well appreciated. Thank you! 👏 Just one very unsettling thing though. I couldn't help but notice another young man (an employee there) though trying to be sneaky was following us throughout the store until we left. I mean all the way up to the register! Seriously?! We were so uncomfortable by him that we couldn't even finish shopping in peace. My goodness. If I didn't know any better It wouldn't be far fetched to assume he was probably prejudice and thought we were going to try and steal something. 🙄 The ignorance is real. It was almost closing time and there were only two other customers that were caucasian but he chose to follow the people of color instead. 🤔 But to his surprise (I'm sure) we were happy paying customers to the young lady at the register who couldn't force a smile on her face even if she wanted to.That's the last time we ever shop...
