Iām not sure if I caught the employee on a bad day, but I donāt think Iāve ever been looked at with such repugnance like I did today when visiting. Iām from out of town and was in conference all day, but Iāve been wanting to expand my wardrobe so Iād figured Iād stop by and take a look. I walked it on the high end side unbeknownst to me and started looking around, and an employee came around the corner and announced himself, I said āhelloā and looked up- the employee who was a young male just stood there looking me up and down like I was some poor who didnāt belong in there. I donāt like writing these types of reviews, but I know what smug looks like. It was 30 minutes before closing, so he may have been frustrated just wanting to close early, but I did not feel welcome in there, at all, and whenever he continued to check up on me it just felt condescending and superficial. I could tell the employees were wanting to close up so I saw my way out and cordially said āgoodbyeā- and that employee didnāt even lookup while still giving a sarcastic farewell.
I may not dress like some performative southern aristocrat while on vacation here- but Iāve been in enough menās clothing store to know that type of behavior is not acceptable- not at these price points and margin. I did like a lot of their clothing, so I donāt want to defame the store unnecessarily, but if Iām going to be treated like that while shopping for $300 trousers Iāll just take my business somewhere else. Hopefully you guys can get this issue solved, as it seems to be a recurring issue based on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a suit from this store got measured and then the suit was mailed to me. It took longer than expected so I could not use it for the purposes I bought it for. So when I received it I was very excited but the suit was completely not right. I called the store and they said to mail it back and they would make alterations. I explained I could stop by since I was making the trip again from Orlando to Raleigh and was leaving the country to go on a trip and needed the suit. So I stopped at the store and had one of the staff assist me again and we began the process again. The big problem I explained were the pants looked like the sides were flaring out at the pockets on either side, to which he said was because I had no backside. So I left the suit again with them hoping they would correct the issue but the suit came back and I guess my backside is still too small because the pants look just as bad. I donāt think this shop was interested in making it right or couldnāt. So now I have waisted two trips to this store and have a suit I really donāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love preppy clothes, and I love that they have a selection of Vineyard Vines clothes for women since there is no Vineyard Vines store anywhere in SC. That being said, the selection is quite minimal and the customer service is lacking...if you get any service at all, that is. My fiance and I have visited the store many times and only once have we received any service. The place is a tad overpriced, but I expect it given the brand of merchandise; however, when I go to the Vineyard Vines store in Charlotte, NC., I receive much better service (help pulling sizes, etc.) for my money! Also, they close EXTREMELY early...like 5 p.m. or 6...so make sure you do your shopping before you eat or do anything else! It's a little inconvenient. I wish they carried boys...
