I've been a loyal customer of Hobby Lobby for a long time, regularly bringing in 10-15 large paintings at a time for framing. Their service has usually been excellent, from the quality of the framing to the helpfulness of their staff during loading. Due to the size of the paintings, I always request an extra set of hands to assist with loading, and they've always accommodated this without issue.
However, my recent experience was disappointing. Before placing the job, I specifically requested additional help for loading, and I reiterated this request when I came to pick up the paintings. Despite my clear request and the fact that an employee was available to help, the manager refused to approve it, citing other priorities. The entire process would have taken just 10 minutes, but without the additional assistance, some of the frames were damaged during loading.
While I can afford to replace the damaged frames, this isn't just about the cost. It's about the principle of customer service and the importance of managers being responsive to reasonable requests, especially from loyal customers. I understand that there may be liability policies in place, but this could have been easily avoided with a bit of flexibility and care.
As a business owner with multiple ventures, I expect my managers to go the extra mile for our customers, and I would expect the same from Hobby Lobby. I hope this feedback reaches the right people, so that future customers don't have to experience...
Read morePoor customer service at this Hobby Lobby, BEWARE! I was visiting with a friend tonight and needed assistance finding a 4th Christmas ornament as I had picked out 3 of the same one and needed the 4th to compete the set. I saw an Associate and asked for assistance. His name was “Shane”. He reluctantly came over and I explained what I was looking for. He said everything that they have is out. He said that Hobby Lobby has “an antiquated inventory system and they do not have the ability to locate items in the store” so how do they do inventory? Puzzling... i asked if he could help me look in the store? He said I could look up on the top shelves of the store for my desired item. Again, isn’t that HIS job? Sad. His lack of interest was disturbing. I thought the customer was more important then putting up stickers and price tags? Because after he walked away that’s what he went back too. It’s appears the priorities are off here. Chubbuck, Idaho, in general has issues and struggles with customer service and hospitality and this is just another example. I will most likely never return to this store until they reach out to me and repair this broken situation. I guess Hobby Lobby doesn’t need...
Read moreI am a Jack-Of-Almost-All-Trades-In-Art and I LOVE the Hobby Lobby! I remember reading this book about these kids that decided that they were going to run away and sleep in a museum. I think I would do that with the Hobby Lobby, like an elf from a Hans Christian Andersen Tale. You know the ones that live in a villager's cottage, which is usually their place of business too, and the elves do little nice things for the villager (like their job for instance), I would be like Buddy The Elf though and I would go crazy making crafts and decorations and all sorts of things! Except one thing. Santa isn't coming yet. But that's a good thing for an elf. LOL! But that's not why I go to the Hobby Lobby! I go there because I love the awesome prices, and because I love to make beautiful things for others, and for myself ("If I must, I must." Mary Poppins would always say. And sometimes I simply must). I will be moving to another place and I will have a lot more room than last time and I am excited to decorate and I said to myself ,"HELLO! Go to the Hobby Lobby! Where it's quick and easy to find! Always great prices! All the time!"-Me. And if you see someone with long pointed ears. It's not...
