We have been getting bagels for the office for as long as this location has been open. Over the course of time since its opening, we have refined our order. We started by getting a wide assortment, but it became very evident that there were bagels which were never consumed. We now know exactly what to order to ensure that they are all eaten (no waste). So now we order the same quantity of the same bagels every single time... no variation.
I am now being limited as to quantities of the bagel which is by far our office favorite. For every one of any other bagel, our office will go through probably 5 of this bagel flavor. I understand that availability determines what you are able to sell... I also get that if you want to guarantee getting volume of a specific type of bagel, that calling ahead becomes necessary, otherwise you purchase what they have on hand.
When I have been placing the exact same order every single time I have been there, and the only comments I have ever received are to the effect of "I hope everyone enjoys, come again." Then suddenly to be told, Im sorry, we wont do that...thats disappointing!
The other bagel place in town (the 5th Street) has a sign clearly posted overhead... if you want more than ## of a specific bagel please call ahead... but even with that notice, I have never seen them deny an order that they had ready bagels to support. If you intend to limit (which is fine) placing that limit once the order is made is not the time to do it... especially when the quantity to more than fill the order is readily visible.
Still enjoy the bagels. But disappointed...
Read moreI ordered through the app, just a drink. When I came through the drive thru and let them know I had placed on order, they couldn’t find my order. After telling them what it was and my name multiple times over the person at the drive-thru informed me it was set as an “in cafe” pick up and that I would have to come in to get my drink. I asked if they could just give it to me through the drive thru, since we had already verified it was me picking up my order, order number, name and all. They replied no they couldn’t and I would have to come in. It wouldn’t have been a huge deal, inconvenient yes, but I would have if I didn’t have my baby asleep in the car. After they refused to take the simple steps of just handing me the ONE DRINK through the window I just told them to cancel the order. I was super frustrated with the situation and called in right after to speak to the manager. She said it was “corporate policy” that if it was set as a in cafe pickup they couldn’t give it out through the drive thru. That sounded made up to me. So I called corporate, I know just for a drink, but I wanted to know the truth. The person at the corporate number assured me that has never been a corporate policy and should not have happened. So not only did the manager lie, she refuses to hold herself or her employees accountable for the poor customer service, but they couldn’t even do the bare minimum to complete an order. Definitely won’t be going back just from the lack of character their staff exhibits. I’ll just get my drink and the dozens of other places in town that will be competent enough to fulfill a...
Read moreThe food is nice if you're willing to pay the high price and risk getting the wrong order, or pay 5 bucks for 4 spoonfuls of Mac n cheese (unfortunately, that isn't an exaggeration).
I used to buy the green goddess caprese sandwich here a couple of times per week, but they've lost my business forever. The manager whose name starts with an M (Margi or Marni or something like that?) she has ALWAYS fixed my order and made me happy. I have had to drive across town numerous times to get my order fixed. She is fantastic.
But the manager with short blonde hair is simply awful.
I bought a vegetarian sandwich, which was the only food I was going to eat all day. It was made with tons of chicken, so I went hungry. I came in the next day, and the manager with blonde hair fixed my sandwich (she admitted to being the one to mess it up the night prior) and PROMISED me that I would get a coupon for a free sandwich and soup -- Well, she lied. She gave me a two-year expired coupon for a free drink (under $6, which, as you know, most of the drinks are over $6)...
I'm just going to start buying the arugula, mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto, basil, and aioli. What a shame.
(Update: I have been buying the ingredients to make the sandwich myself, way cheaper...
