ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ! These people especially the owner āSaraā are so rude !! I came in with 3 boxes and two small bags of stuff, When I came in they people were so rude already! The girl Sara starts going threw my stuff and tells me the things she canāt take and hands me the stuff back, OK thatās fine, she tells me I have to sign a paper to check in Ok so Iām putting my stuff back in the stroller meanwhile My daughter has this stuff little toy with her she found there that she wants she keeps telling me she wants it but Iām telling her to hold on because Iām trying to put this stuff back in my stroller. She then goes āHunny I need you to sign inā she sees me trying to put my stuff inside my stroller so I tell you āCan you give me a minuteā 1 minute later I then go to ask where I sign, they are completely ignoring me talking to theirselves while I keep asking, I get frustrated because no one is listening to me so I then go WHERE?! As there sitting there laughing with each other, someone then go AHAHA DID SOMEONE SAY WHERE ahaha I heard someone say where ahahah. Iām literally like In front of them and they act like they donāt see me or hear me. And have the nerve to say who said where. Ok whatever. She finally hears me and shows me where to sign, as Iām signing she tells me the wait will be 3 hours. I do not have 3 hours so I tell them thatās itās not possible to leave overnight right and they say no otherwise itās a donation. I said ok Iāll take my stuff back then. I understand thatāll it take that long but I donāt have time to come back later to get it so whatever. As Iām putting my stuff back in my stroller Iām not even half way done yet! The lady SARA snatches the toy from my daughter and says āIām sorry hunny Iāll take thatā in such a rude voice WITHOUT ASKING IF I WAS GOING TO BUY IT!! My daughters face was so hurt and shook! I can tell she was holding her cry In because she did not know what to do! After that I EVEN SAID I COULDāVE PAID FOR THAT ARE YOU SERIOUS! It took everything in me not to say something. I spent about an hour meticulously selecting clothes for my 1-year-old son, only to have my excitement turn into frustration at the checkout counter. When I handed them a $100 bill, they outright refused it, claiming they don't accept "old money" and told me that we have ānew currencyā and my $100 bill needed to have a blue stripe. They advised me to go next door to BevMo to exchange it for a "new 100 bill." Such a policy is not only bizarre but also extremely inconvenient for customer, considering my $100 bill is legal tender. I went next door and luckily the lady was super nice and helpful. Based on her attitude I got the impression that she often has trouble with the employees at this store. She was kind enough to scan my $100 bill and walk me back over to the store and verify that the $100 bill was scanned and is good to use. They still refused to take it. I wanted to cry at this point and my baby was getting really fussy. I wouldnāt have even bothered giving them my business after all of this but I had spent so much time picking out my items, and shopping with a baby can be really difficult.
To make matters worse, as I walked into the store, I was greeted by the spectacle of two employees engaged in a heated verbal altercation. They were openly discussing personal matters, including someone "being a different person over text" and accusing someone else of being a "coward." This unprofessional behavior was not only uncomfortable but also entirely unbecoming of a business setting. What's even more shocking is that they used the "F-word" multiple times during their argument.
In all my years of shopping, I have never encountered such a disgraceful display of unprofessionalism and customer service. Once Upon a Child has clearly failed to maintain even the most basic standards of decorum and courtesy. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and I have no intention of ever setting foot in this store again. Ā Ā Ā Read moreSTOLE MY ITEMS. Iām so disappointed. Iāve been selling and buying clothes from your Citrus Heights location for 2 years now. Until this last time. I dropped off clothes and received no call about my items. I called next day they said they donated my stuff. They never once called me. Mind you they use to all the time. Why else would you ask for a working number and not call the people. No CALL. No call it was done being looked through. No call that they were going to donate it. If they told me that I would of picked up my stuff instantly. They never gave me a copy of any form or showed proof of any form that i signed agreeing to donate my stuff. They also wouldnāt show me the paper I signed when I dropped off the clothes stating that I agreeded to this. They said they no longer had the form with them. (Isnāt that weird?) So no proof of my signature that they can take my stuff for FREE without paying me or returning. I had zero communication from them. It was a giant tub of clothes. I have photos of all the clothes. Which were in good condition. I Called later same day to talk to the owner the lady told me she would take a message and have her call me back. 2 days later no call. Itās not the dollar amount or the items itself that affects me itās the principle of how they are just stealing things. Itās just wrong. I am placing a law suit against them because this could be happening to numerous people and itās uncalled for and itās stealing.
