I had a horrible experience with the wheelchair attendant in section M118 of the twenty one pilots concert on Sept 28. I am a huge fan of the band and carefully studied setlists and videos of concerts to make sure I time it as well as possible when I want to leave—balance of enjoyment and safety. I told my first wheelchair attendant that took me upstairs I wanted to leave at 10:45 a few minutes before the concert ended when my brother was picking me up. He wrote it down on my ticket and when I got to M118 the attendant who came to me said the concert ended at 10:30 and 10:45 I will be all by myself, but she will come before the actual concert end. I questioned it a little and with the loud music even at first thought she may have said 11:30 but figured I’d enjoy the show and call when I was ready. I did not want to let it ruin the show for me, and figured I'd correct her when she came back if need be. She came at 10:15 to get me and I told her I requested 10:45. She insisted it ended at 10:30 and I said “trust me, I’ve memorized the setlist.” She said at 10:45 I will be the only one there, and that I will have to find another wheelchair attendant and will leave a lot later than 10:45. She showed me the setlist and made me recite the songs and quickly showed me it to prove her point. I asked to see it and at first she hesitated to show it to me. I pointed out there were a few songs after what she claimed was the end and she said that was the encore and covered it with her hand. Finally, a few minutes before 10:45 I went to the other attendant and said “this is the time I requested.” I’m glad the wheelchair attendant didn’t make good on her threat and reluctantly waited for me for 30 minutes, but even if there was genuine miscommunication, it could have been handled without repeatedly harassing and bullying a disabled woman who was just trying to enjoy her favorite band. A disabled woman whose information was correct over Rocket Mortgage's and who was not the only one left in the room at 10:45. Regardless of what the setlist said, it did not take the time into account the time twenty one pilots takes to do different antics performing on stage. It's one thing to be rude, and another thing to be factually incorrect, but the wheelchair attendant on September 28 was rude AND factually incorrect. What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" PS Almost forgot the worst part is when she did finally take me, she left me at the top of the stairs. How cruel to leave a wheelchair-using guest at the top of the stairs. Thankfully, I was able to walk down them, but I ended up going out the wrong door at first to meet my brother. Point being--it is completely inappropriate for Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to have an employee on staff who can hold such a nasty grudge against a...

Added 1 star Staff maintained control of the line and it was a great show - no issues.

Update (added 2 stars) Staff inside was receptive. Updated my review because they were so helpful inside. We’ll see how the show goes!

ETA: So the rogue fan group - CLEVELAND CLANCY - devolved into a weird subgroup like they were led by Jack in Lord of the Flies. Locking arms and trying to push through and get ahead of everyone that was waiting. One called my 15yo a c* as everyone was trying to figure out the entrance - because they got in front of them as they should because we were there before them. My child corrected them and so did I - with the quickness. Now one little girl in some pink slides tried to record my kid and let me tell you…why you trying to show “true colors” … videoing a kid because they were there before you. You’re weird.

I will say the band staff holding the door to the entrance apologized and said - I’m the only official line. Thanks dude. You’re the real MVP today.

I don’t know where the field house staff was, but they were definitely not monitoring the situation.

ETA: 7:45am:

Worker came out and basically said they have no clue. Supposedly said no running or stampede…but who is watching. They’re only watching their property. It’s such a mess and everyone is stressed. People are chattering and no one wants to come back here.

ETA: Everyone is concerned about safety - especially those of us with kids.

Right now outside waiting in line for 21 Pilots and have been here since 4:30 with about 20 other people.

A fan group came up, are total jerks, and jumped line.

Called the field house - no one knows anything - but this is the worst concert line experience ever - and I’ve been to many venues. My 15yo has been waiting, drove up early for the wrist bands and the fan line is rude, has went down the line asking everyone that arrived early to move - claiming they have been “working with the venue for 4 days”

So, if they have been working with the venue, then why isn’t there a sign or a security officer mitigating the line.

If you are aware of the fandom and have been working with a group, then why doesn’t anyone working here know something?

You’ll have some issues today/tonight with this rude group if yall don’t get a handle on it.

So - we had a worker come - and I’m gonna tell ya - they haven’t released the time and location for the wristbands - and there’s gonna be an issue.

I would suggest procedures for fan lines so there’s no fighting - and first come first serve - is a risky call. We shall see.

I will say that all other venues I’ve been too are more organized and have a game plan for fans.

I had the pleasure of attending a basketball game at the Rocket Mortgage Field House to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers, and I must say it was an incredible experience from start to finish! From the moment I entered the arena to the final buzzer, everything about the event was top-notch.
