I took my daughter here to get her ears pierced last week. A few days later her earrings begin to embed into her ear. I went back to the store today to see if they could change her earrings out with a different earring as I paid for the 14kt gold earrings. The two ladies who helped me were very nice. They told me that they do not recommend their 14kt gold earrings but recommended titanium earrings as they had a longer pole. This was kind of aggravating because I paid for 14 gold earrings and they could tell by her ear that the little earring was not going to work. They told me they weren’t allowed to change the earring themselves so I did in the store. They kept the 14ky gold earrings that I had paid for. I went to the counter to pay for something else and was charged for the earrings that were put into my daughters ears today despite the fact they kept the 14kt gold earrings that I originally paid for. The manager is the one who rang me up. I said I don’t feel like I should have to pay for these earrings when they begin to embed immediately after she got them and I returned a week later. She these aren’t even the earrings we pierce with. I knowwwww but that’s what you all recommended. She said she didn’t care and that I would have to pay for them. I asked for her managers information and she gave me the 1800 claires number to call. I am very disappointed with my experience and left a voicemail for the 1800 claires number. I was very polite and if I would have known they would be this way I would have never taken my kids here. I’ve been to this store since I was younger. The manager was rude and didn’t make a good point. I paid for my things and left. There was no yelling, cursing, altercation but as I turned to walk out security was walking in. Bitter sweet I took both my boys to get their ears pierced here about 6 months apart and the lady who did my 17yr olds other ear Conveniently left his other earring out the bag he had to go back and ask for it and he said she was putting it away when he asked but I was like maybe a mistake but then I took my yougest son and the same thing happened except I was soo busy with him wanting a toy I did not check the bag and when I called the store to ask was told sorry no earring was left behind but where did it go wasn’t in the bag??? All I’m saying is if you take your son to get 1 ear pierced double check your back to ensure you have the other earring and as much as your paying for the earrings it is not okay for them to keep it! For heavens sake they get your info to do a child’s Piercing why not call and say hey you left this nope they just put it away and sell it to someone else. Shame on you!! I just went to Claire's shop inside Easton Town Center, in Columbus, OH, around 8 PM EST, together with my 3 years old daughter and my wife. The sales person, an African American lady who said her name is Amber, was very very rude and aggressive and insulted us by giving racial slurs!!! After my daughter grabbed several items out of which we paid for only one of them and returned the remaining to her, she told us that we should not let our daughter to grab them in the first place and we are very bad parents!!!! She then suggested that we should not come in the public if we cannot control our 3 years old to grab different items in a kids shop and we do not buying them all.
